February 08, 2012Our U-21 defeated Williamstown in the Championship last Saturday 1-12 to 1-8 in Williamstown.
Senior training tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30.
Junior A and B teams will be training at 7.30 on Friday night. U/12- U/13 training starts Friday 10th Feb 7-8pm on astro turf.
U-10s resume training on Friday from 6-7 on the astro turf pitch. New members welcome.
MEMBERSHIP
Club membership is now due and you can pay it to our Registrar John McGrath at 087 2465940 or any committee member. €20 ordinary membership will entitle you to voting rights at the AGM and also you will be supporting your local Club.
CLUB SOCIAL
The Club Social will be on Saturday March 10th at The Ard Ri House Hotel. This year we will be honouring P.J. Smyth and Johnny Carey. They were the first two All-Stars honoured in 1971. We will be presenting the Junior B panel with their medals and the Senior team with their John Dunne Cup medals. We also have the Minor, U-21, Junior 'B', Junior 'A' & Senior 'Player of the Year' awards will be presented and 'The Philip Joyce Memorial Cup' for outstanding contribution to Tuam Stars will also be announced.
ASTROTURF & SIGNAGE

CLUB LOTTO
This weeks Lotto draw in association with Tuam Shopping Centre held on Monday February 6th for a Jackpot of €18,650 in The Rustic Vaults. The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 17 and 27. No winner. The ten €25 winners were Breda and Michael Joe Warde (Veg Shop), M. Walsh (Bridge Bar), Mary McHugh (John Dooley), J.P. Kean (member), Brian Loftus (member), Dec and Bart (Quinn's), P.J. Connolly (Thatch Bar), Martina Tynan (Quinn's), Joan Quinn (Reapy's) and Carmel Mills (Dick Fahy's). The Jackpot will be a massive €18,800 next Monday and the draw will be in Dick Fahy's. The Club thanks everyone who support our Lotto each week. So get your ticket in time to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be purchased at a number of outlets in the town or from our Lotto agents. WELL DONE & BEST WISHES
Well done to the Galway footballers on their good win over Derry last Sunday in the league. Well done to our own Gary O'Donnell and Alan Flynn selector of the team.
We wish our former player and manager Peter Warren and the Davitts (Ballindine-Irishtown) team all the best in Croke Park next Sunday in the All Ireland Intermediate final when they play Milltown-Castlemaine of Kerry.
