The recent Connacht FBD league tie between Galway and London saw ex-clubmates Finian Hanley and Austin Concannon on opposing teams. Concannon, an engineer, now living in London lined out in his adopted County colours of green against the maroon jersey of his former Salthill-Knocknacarra teammate and Galway full-back Finian Hanley. Galway prevailed on the day in Duggan Park Ballinasloe 1-15 to 0-8. Salthill-Knocknacarra were also represented by U21 player Conor Halloran and indeed, manager Alan Mulholland also hails from the Club. While the County players enjoyed their recent successful outings, the club teams have largely returned to training with most teenage teams back on the pitches, wall and sand arena in all codes: football, ladies football, hurling and camogie.
