The sudden death of Mr. Richard Lally, Mount Venture, Ballymacward last week was the source of great shock and sadness to his wife and family and to all who knew him. Family members participated in the readings, prayers and offertory procession while his brother Michael in an address recalled his great love for and pride his family and paid tribute to the wonderful support of friends and neighbours in the aftermath of his death. The burial took place afterwards to the new cemetery. Guards of honour were formed by the Pearses Hurling club and the Caltra Ladies Football Club. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, daughters, Leona, Aoife, Yvonne, Lorraine and Amy, son, Keith, his mother Mrs Lucy Lally, brothers, Gerry, Clonee, Dublin, John, Mount Venture, Michael, Lios Ciuin, sisters-in-law, Mary and Patricia, mother-in-law, Lena Hartnet/Prichard, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and a wide circle of friends which was reflected in the large attendance at both days of his funeral.
