Damien Comer concedes that NUIG will have to keep a close eye on Con O'Callaghan in tomorrow's Sigerson Cup final.

The brilliant young Dublin star scored the winning point in UCD's thrilling semi-final victory over UUJ on Wednesday after sitting out the early stages of the third-levels competition and NUIG captain Comer identifies the Cuala clubman as a real threat:

"Obviously Con has shown what he can do in club and county level so he's a man that needs watching and we need to keep an eye on him," the Annaghdown and Galway attacker told gaa.ie.

"But they've got other very good players as well as Con, so we can't be paying too much attention to Con because if we do other lads will get under the radar and probably come up with the goods.

"Conor McCarthy from Monaghan got man of the match there the last day at centre forward so he's another player we have to watch. Their midfielders are very good and all around they've got serious footballers and a very strong bench to come on as well which is very important at Sigerson level."
