President to host reception for Galway hurlers

President Michael D Higgins will host a reception for Galway's All-Ireland winning senior and minor hurling teams this afternoon.
The event at Áras an Uachtaráin will take place at 3pm. Since his inauguration, the former Galway TD and Senator has attended 34 official GAA matches, including the senior and junior All Ireland finals in football, hurling and camogie.
Several of the Galway senior hurling team will not be in a position to attend the reception as they are currently in Singapore on the All-Star hurling tour.
