GAA missing a trick with highlights?

(Oldest Posts First)

The AFL season has begun this week, and while live coverage is behind various paywalls, highlights of all games are available for free on the League's own YouTube channel, regardless of global location, within hours of the final whistle. It may take some negotiation with the various rights holders, and perhaps they don't want to damage GAAGO, but even League games would gain significant global viewership.

Good plan. I don't think putting highlights on You Tube will affect GAAGO. Is there more than one TV broadcaster for AFL? If they had some game highlights on YouTube then Sky and GAAGO would have something for prospective subscribers abroad to see before they part with cash because they want to watch live hurling and football.
