Is the present Presidents term up already? I thought the President had another year left?

Ó Fearghaíl has another year as President. I think they're elected a year in advance of taking up the job.

Hope Sean Walsh gets it, sound man and huge experience.

I doubt many players, club or inter-county, in Kerry under he's tenure have much bad to say about him.

Let's be honest the last GAA president to do anything relevant was another Kerryman, Sean Kelly!

It is 20 years this year since Joe McDonagh became the last President from Connacht. Liam O'Neill (Leinster) only finished his term prior to the current President Aogan O Fearghail (Ulster) and before them was Christy Cooney (Munster). Munster and Leinster council send two canidates each to the convention and now these four men will face the split vote from amongst their own. Frank Burke is the likely and welcome winner for the West of Ireland.

Course I am, but it's a valid point all the same name anything of note any of them have done since Kelly?

Rule 42 and all that, it's 10 years since that famous weekend when France came to Croke Park.

Introduced meaningful lower tier national hurling competitions.

All Ireland junior and intermediate club championships.

Not a bad couple of years work by any strech

What could be better? A Dublin GAA President in these times! The Emperor has no clothes. Move along, nothing to see here.
