Above is supposed to be link to Jerome O'Connell's tweet entitled "It's a penalty to me (Pull down of David Dempsey by Wexford #3)..May someone can post it if I don't have link correct.
Forgive my rant:
I can't help but think that now is the time e for The Limerick County Board to stand behind John Kiely and team by reqeysting disciplinary action from Croke Park , CCCC or whatever channels of redress in regard to "mugging" of David Dempsey.
What steps can be take to protect the likes of a diamonds in the rough like Peter Casey, from willful and wanton abuse.
For those who will quote the "rules to me here saying "it is not the place of the county board," let me tell you IT IS HIGH TIME IT BECAME THE PLACE OF THR COUNTY BOARD , instead of coming coming back at the end if the year in all their power and glory, demanding explanation as to "why we did not get out of 1B".
Don't let any tell me to forget about '96 , well the spirit of '96 and Liam Dunne was very much alive and well in Wexford yesterday. with Master Davy being the latest conductor of that bullying style.

Finally ,what steps do county board plan to take to register objection and ensure that the likes of Diarmuid Kirwan never referee another game.
Well done to john Kiely and Limerick who would surely have won handily if the law of rthe wild west were not allowed to prevail.
With all due respect to Father Murphy and the blazing heather ,its sad to see the greatest game be reduced to a back alley mugging.

oh come off it,are you for real?
there was not a dirty stroke in the match yesterday, there was plenty of frees missed both ways, take off those green tinted glasses.
yes there was a penalty which limerick probably deserved, but what about the shoulder straight into david redmond's face (just before the scuffle)?did that deserve nothing?
as usual, the world and the dogs in the street wrong when limerick lose, not the fact that they scored 1 point from play in the second half and were beaten by the better, hungrier team.
what you mean to say,is should hurling have a black card?because the tackles were cynical, not dirty.
whingers, moaners, making excuses since 1973,that is what limerick are known for.

Ridiculous opening post. The first foul I thought was committed by the goalkeeper.

Hurling definitely needs a blackcard - in fact it needs a sinbin for 10 minutes. Nothing to do with Wexford yesterday. They were excellent. Must hurling matches in intercounty are ruined by rucks..

If all else fails, or you are out of excuses as to why you were beaten by the better team, then turn your attention to the referee.

Lads it was a meaningless league match in February. Who cares what the referee did or didn't do? Some of the posts since yesterday by Limerick people are very embarrassing. And I'm not pointing the finger at the opening post here. I mean elsewhere on our own forum as well as the main one. If something like the penalty call happens in June or any stage of the championship then fine I'd be like a demon over it. And everyone else would be fully entitled to be raging. But it's early Spring. The ref made a bad call. Move on, no big deal. Wexford got more scores. They deserved to win. If we play them again in the championship with Downes, Dowling etc back I'd expect us to win. As for yesterday, it was what it was. A league match played before a few thousand people in wind and rain.

One other comment. On the Liam Dunne thing. Liam Dunne whether he meant it or not stopped the country's top scorer from doing anything of note in an All Ireland final. If Limerick were in a final I wouldn't care what our players did in order to get the win. You can say that's wrong and not a very sportmanslike thing to say but most people being honest would say the same.
