I have already writtten in the clare forum on the poor treatment the gaa have given waterford. From my own days as a player Ia hated [playing in fraher field.Nobody should be asked to do so.My recent trIp back there brought back many painful memories. I realize youhave a second pitch, but the fact remains Waterforrd has the worst situation in munster.A county that has such a dedicated fan base witha lot of work gone into developing a great team deserves tohave a great pitch.wake up gaa officials. local officials, let your concerns be made known!!!!!!!

What has your point to do with this thread? Or am I missing something?

Louth will do very well to get promoted. Meath on the evidence that I seen them play against Louth will def not get promoted. Limerick has the best chance to get promoted out of them three teams.

I wouldn't take the results as a huge radar from o byrne cup and the likes as Dublin last year lost to longford with 10 of the team that would go on to start the all ireland final later in the year.
Meath are building and i would expect their main aim for 2017 will be to get to division 1 so will be going all out for it.
limerick have yo yoed between division 3 and 4 for a few years and look well placed to be in top two at end of league,
Louth last weekend was there only defeat so far and could actually work in their favour for the league, they are more than capable of winning games on the road that others seem to have trouble with, it's Drogheda they seem to not perform quite as good in for whatever reason at the odds they have tipp and Armagh and laois as the big three but a win for Louth on Saturday in portlaoise would put Louth in a good position over laois if they finished level later on, Liam Kearns has never focused on the league hugely with teams so tipp could be inconsistent at skimpy odds that leaves Armagh who are very unpredictable so for me Louth at the odds are certainly going to give you a run for your money and themselves and meath might buck the trend of Leinster teams not doing well in the league outside Dublin

You could be right. I believe Laois will be without a few lads for the first few rounds, that could be enough to put them out of contention and as you said, Kearns (surprisingly IMO) said the league wasnt priority. Two heavy defeats in the McGrath cup seem to back this up.

Apart from the results aside I was basing mine on performance. That was the poorest Meath team that I ever seen. Meath seem to do better in the Championship than they would in the league. The last time Meath played in Division one was in 2006. Even the Wee County played in Division one in 2007. A big game for Meath and Louth this weekend. Both counties have four home matches in the league. Both counties seem to play better away from home and get results on their travels.
