Kieran Donaghy on Late Late

(Oldest Posts First)

Kieran came accross as a very likeable, good natured young man tonight. I never heard any lengthy interview with him before.

No one knows what's going on in another's life. He had his cross with his dad and family breakup.

I wish him well and hope he gets another year out of it. I think better for him to be on the edge of the square. He doesn't really have the pace for the middle of the field against the best teams anymore. He'll be 35 next year.

Brutal interview from Tubridy, Donaghy came across well, not his fault .

I have slagged off Mr Donaghy before on this site. But I have total respect for the man's achievements on the GAA field. And Kerry's also. Listening to the interview it was obvious Mr Tubridy did'nt know too much about the GAA.
Also hearing about Mr Donaghy's family background gave me an understanding of the inner conflict that drove him on. The Family breakdown and so on also big rivalry between Tyrone and Kerry, yet Kieran's Dad is a Tyrone man.

Tubridy is brutal when it comes to sports people; he just doesn't have a clue especially regarding the GAA.
