He's done it all. All Ireland club Leinster club Dublin club. National leagues Leinster titles all irelands including back to backs and all stars. Nothing left to achieve. Brianmac78 (Dublin) - Posts: 1168 - 11/10/2016 19:37:27 1925074 Link 0 |
You could say that about a few of the Dublin footballers. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4445 - 11/10/2016 20:14:47 1925097 Link 1 |
i think lee keegan is the best footballer in the country..the list of times he has got the better of connolly is quite large now so i dont think its credible to call connolly the best..maybe on talent but not production

As fine a footballer as Lee Keegan is and the debatable battles he's one. Connollys medal count is by comparison quite imperious. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4445 - 11/10/2016 20:43:05 1925119 Link 1 |
God help us and everyone else if Michael Daragh gets a hurl in his hands .

Is it a bit late in his career Brian? He'll be 30 next year.. Is Connolly that good of a hurler Brian? Cahir Healy of Laois left the footballers at 27 but he had been a dual star in his early years. Laois76 (Laois) - Posts: 1270 - 11/10/2016 20:46:20 1925124 Link 6 |

Him and Mick Fennelly KK would be a good 'physical' clash!

Mayo have a lot of the best footballers in the country over the last number of years which is why they have consistently dominated Connaught and contested AIs.

With some of the shapes MDMA throws when playing football It'd be a brave man that went within 10 yards of him. He'd be like a blind Arab with a sabre . Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 11/10/2016 20:55:15 1925132 Link 1 |

Maybe throw John O'Loughlin of Laois in too around the middle : D He's a good hurler. Fireworks! Another bruiser..

Precisely, which makes it extremely difficult to break down and will negate many a good sides forwards and midfielders.

of course..they match us for athleticism better than anybody but no composure and forwards when it counts

Yes, but neither perhaps do they possess the mental strength and steel of this Dublin side who have proved themselves again and again.

If he had any sense at all he would continue with the football. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 11/10/2016 22:53:00 1925192 Link 0 |
It's between Lee Keegan and Diarmuid Connolly for me. Based on the workload he gets through during a game, I would say that Lee Keegan has the edge. GormlaighG (Mayo) - Posts: 77 - 11/10/2016 23:21:55 1925200 Link 0 |
agreed..this side always finds a way to respond
