Lads, how does a certain Mayo forward get away with it? Year on year he's involved in all the flash-points, holding his face whining to the ref as if he hasn't given as good as, and often a lot more, than he gets? It's baffling at least and truly sickening at worst. A certain Dublin forward is targeted and surrounded but is always the villain of the piece.

This double standard is hugely frustrating and people will always act like it doesn't exist.

MC said Mayo were "feisty" in a complimentary way? I've always said being "feisty" is all well and good, every top team is, but call it what it is and be consistent in applying it.

"Feisty" = Cynical and playing "on the edge".

Mayo = Feisty
Kerry = Feisty
Donegal = Feisty
Tyrone = Feisty

Etc

If your actually going to call if as it is then call as it is.

Dublin=feisty

Quite simply.

One dublin fella got the line and he was the actual one who didn't deserve it. MDMA should have had a red. Didn't even get a yellow for the blackest of all black cards in the first half then actually choke slammed a mayo player in the 2nd half.

In the Keenan and Connolly flashpoint both wer pe as bad as the other yet Connolly was the one striking the face yet I dint hear you saying year on year that Connolly is involved in the flash points! Check the history.

Cooper looked like he was dead at one stage but had s miraculous recovery when he saw his team still had the ball and he hadn't gotten a free. Didn't need any more treatment after that either.

Mayo had their fair share of actions today also. If your actually calling it as it is then it's Dublin as much as Mayo as much as Tyrone as much as Kerry etc very simply.

Gaa usually do not let the same ref do the replay. Any chance RTE might apply that guideline to Co Commentators? Anyone but Carney please.

James McCarthy deserved his black card... what he did, third man tackle, is what the punishment was introduced for. As everyone else says, problem is refs are so inconsistent. They're under pressure to let the game flow, not ruin it by being too strict, yet keep control of what is a heavy physical contact sport. Who'd be a ref, honestly?

What exactly is the Mayo forward getting away with? Are you suggesting he should be sent off for holding his face? The same co commentator could see nothing wrong with the Dubs against Kerry, even the shoulder into the chest by McManaman was a 'wonderful hit'. Always thought that co commentators were there to point out to the ordinary five eighth, things the commentator might miss or to clarify some rule or other, and not to wax lyrical about a score or a piece of play that everyone can see for themselves. I can't understand why they can't get somebody doing co commentary who has no connection to either county. There was a Mayo lad and a Dublin lad on sky, one who can't say anything negative about a team he is intrinsically linked with and the other whose contribution from the sidelines went along the lines of 'Dublin are getting more annoyed with every late hit'. You have to take anything someone who has a vested interest says, with a pinch of salt. Dublin have one or two players who could be called 'feisty' too and more power to them.

Nay disagree he simply ran into the player, didn't even see him. Try harder a few more deserving examples out there some even from the Godlike presence of O'Shea.

Jim put that story to bed today on sky, said it was all bs. all anybody had to do was ring him to check if the story was true, but of course Rte ran with the story, it was started by Carney so he should explain why he was spinning lies.

McCarthy deserved a black by the book. But AOS should have walked at least twice for black card offences. James difn't do TV inthe US, AOS did.

The Dublin discretions were all highlighted, this is my point.
