What exactly is fair coverage?

(Oldest Posts First)

We have all mediamans threads and posts about supposed bias in favour of other sports within certain news organisations but what are peoples opinions on what exactly is fair coverage for each sport and sporting organisation within irish media?
Who should have the most coverage and how much coverage and why?

The olympics have just started, and barely a whisper has been mentioned about the people who were displaced and whose homes were bulldozed in order to make way for these white elephant stadia, not to mention the enormous cost to the Brazilian taxpayer.
Compare that to the massive stick the GAA got when the people of jones road were faced with the prospect of an extra few Garth Brooks concerts in Croker.
I suppose the media could start there.

There has been loads of coverage within the media about bad stories about prep for this Olympics and every Olympics.
No bias there

Saturday 13 August
All-Ireland SHC semi-final replay
Kilkenny v Waterford, Semple Stadium, 6.45pm - RTE & Sky

Is this the first time a replay has been televised by both RTE & SKY, or for that matter any game, the agreement was 14 games for SKY the remainder for RTE, replays not included. Ie if RTE televised a game that ended in a draw then RTE only could televise the replay, and vise/versa. If this is not fair coverage I don't know what is.
