Ciaran McManus

(Oldest Posts First)

Best of luck to Ciaran McManus who retired today. What a footballer and what a servant for Tubber, Offaly and UCD. I always thought he was a savage talent, always brought his A game and in a county which wasn't always winning silverware he played intercounty football for 15 years. Even just the effort to keep himself in top shape to play midfield for 15 years, serious respect.

Yes and hardly missed a game for his club during that time. He had a special regard for his club and County.

An absolute legend.

Never missed a match for Offaly despite working all over the world.A great player for us for years and I don't think there was a fitter footballer in Ireland during his era.

I'll always remember his screamer of a goal against Laois in 2003 and his goal against Donegal in the League Semi Final in 1998.
