Kilkenny have been impressive without setting the world on fire in the forward line. I have an inkling for Tipp.

Not a difficult one for me to call. Though Tipp were brilliant in their semi-final, I think that Kilkenny will win this one.

Thurlesblues made a brief reappearance about a month ago. Must be serving a ban or lost the password to post.

I've backed Eamon O'Shea all along and I am not going to do otherwise now so I am backing my boys to do the business. EOS is a genius and it was baffling the criticism he shipped in Tipp and by the general hurling public. He will come up with a master plan to win this one.

I can't wait for this match. I bumped into a Kilkenny friend today who said he would have preferred if it was Cork and he looked nervous. There is no pressure on us at all, we'll go in as underdog with question marks hanging over us. That suits me just fine as it makes a change from everyone in Tipp losing all sense before a big match . The nucleus of this team are good value for two all-Irelands. They remind me a bit of Offaly in 98 when they got their second all-Ireland when it looked like they had left it behind them. Two all-Irelands would be a very fair assessment of this team if it happens.

Bring on the 7th of September, I've never been calmer before a final.

Thurlesblues is back, under a different guise.Adds nothing but childish nonsense.God knows what county,or what agenda he/she really has.

Killarney-the calm before the storm i fear. All well and good being quietly confident now,but come 3.25 on Sunday,Sept 7th,i think the fear may set in.Thats what Kilkenny do.They have an aura about now. They spook teams. They spook me.The sight of those black and amber jerseys have left many a stong mind in turmoil. The greatest GAA team of all time.Multitudes of All Ireland medals on the bench. No weak links anywhere.Led by Cody the Enforcer.A combination of unbreakable spirit.A refusal to bend the knee.Steely craftsmen, with ice in their veins.Sometimes i wonder do they even have a pulse.I have a clear vision of Cody and Shefflin walking off into the sunset with their 10th glistening All Ireland medal draped around their necks.A fitting end to an immortal story.Kilkenny to win.

Kilkenny's semi final performance would not be good enough to beat Tipp. Need to see more quality from the forward unit, can't rely on the backs to win every match for us. Mark Kelly has to be dropped, we can't afford any passengers and Kelly most certainly is one. Padraig Walsh tends to go missing from matches too but at least he'll take his point when he gets the chance. I don't know what Kelly does. Cody needs to park whatever misgivings he has about Aidan Fogarty and give him a more prominent role. Always puts in a serious shift for Kilkenny but wasn't even brought on the last day. Cody also needs to make his substitutions earlier. If a forward has been out of the game for 45 minutes, he ain't gonna get into it -throw someone else in.

Tipp were extremely impressive in the semi final but I would add the disclaimer that Cork were diabolical (not too strong a word IMO, they were that bad). They gave extremely talented hurlers so much room to show off their skills and got rightly filleted. If Tipp are good enough to beat us I can take that, but I'd like to think we'd make it a bit harder for them than Cork did, that's all a supporter can ask for.

At the moment I'm not overly optimistic about this one!

Kilkenny don't like playing Tipp. We did deny them 5 in a row so let's hope we deny Cody and sheff a 10th. I said at start of the year kk wud win it so if I change my mind now I'll b slated!!!I have backed against Tipp all year but I must admit quietly confident we can win this.

Ballydallane - Christy Ring,Jimmy Doyle and Lory Meagher would have struggled to play keepy uppies to themselves in that monsoon downpour. The weather wasnt condusive to any real quality of play.It ended up a bruising, manly, physical encounter, which Kilkenny, once again, found the answers to.I agree Kelly was ineffectual but with a nice dry sod(fingers crossed),he has the speed to trouble Tipps fullback.Richie Power will probably start, after scoring 1-13 in a club game last week.Pauraic Walsh or Kelly may make way.Either way,i feel ye have too much strenght in depth.Tipps win in semi final was most ceretainly glossed over due to Corks abysmal no show. Not great preperation for a Kilkenny team who wont even resemble Corks pathetic effort.I cant see any other outcome.Kilkenny to win.

KK are roaring hot favourites to win this one, I just hope we can give them a good game and keep the score down to a respectful figure.
