Roscommon v Dublin - AI U21 Football final '14!!

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Congratulations to The Dubs and Roscommon

Commiserations to both Cavan and Cork too who put in gutsy displays today and should be very proud of themselves..

The final has the makings of a really good game.

Looking forward to it.

Roscommon where immense today, Dublin on the other hand had to dig deep and they where fairly poor. We will need to improve but ive no doubt we will, And in the process claim yet more national silverware.

Looking forward to it.

Roscommon were very impressive today. 1pt margin didn't do them justice they were much the better footballing team 3 soft goals kept cork in it.

Dublin will need a vast improved performance against the Rossies to prevail.

Hopefully we will have carthy back.

Was impressed with the lovely open style of football played by the Rossies today.Really should have won far more comfortably. If Dublin play like they did today they wont stand a chance. However i would expect a big improvement.Rossies favourites after today but anything can happen in a final, and being Dubs, well always fancy our chances.

Apart from the Carlow joke of a game

Dublin U-21's have been below par and NOT playing well whatsoever

IMO the two best U-21 teams went head to head in the other semi-final

On the evidence so far... Roscommon have been the better team

That was a great win today...

If Dublin play like they have done against Meath / Cavan...then Roscommon will win... no doubt about it

If Dublin perform to their potential... then they have the players to beat Roscommon

But on current form Roscommon have been the better team

Should be a very open game. Hard to see Dublin being so wasteful in front of goal the next day, that Roscommon defence was cut open pretty easily today by an ordinary enough Cork attack so anyone saying Roscommon are hot favourites are foolish. Will be a close game. Breffni Park maybe?

Roscommon outstanding today it was never a one point game , they'll go in as favourites they play defensive but nothing like Cavan so I'm hoping Mannion and Costello have more room to do there thing, it should be a cracker and hopefully a Dublin win of course.

Paddy Power has it evens for both teams. I think we have a better team to the team that played Dublin in 2012 AI final and this Dublin team not as intimidating as 2012 side. Have we enough to make up the 7 point gap ? Think the evens is fair enough.

Presume game will be in Tullamore as in 2012. Crowd that day around 12,000. 10k Rossies, 2k Dubs that day and expect an even bigger Rossie crowd this year.

I will go with Dublin on this one, even after the poor performances against Meath and Roscommon.

Reckon the Rossie's style will suit us better, and yesterday the big names did not stand up as they should have.

If Dublin are as poor as they were yesterday that Roscommon full forward line will make hay imo.

Should be a nice open game though. Ros were a joy to watch yesterday so I'm really looking forward to it.

Very, very surprised that Paddy Power has both teams at evens for this one. I can't see Dublin playing as poorly again and Roscommon will simply try to outgun them which could be the wrong tactic. If the Dublin attack clicks, they could win well. It'll be a high scoring game I'd imagine

Are you on Cloud 9 or what. Roscommon are a serious football team and will be every bit as Dublin. All the teams who where left could of won the All Ireland. There has to be a winner and loser though.By the way the carry on out of the Cavan players and supporters was a complete joke yesterday after the match. You should lose with diginity and stop behaving like animals because of 1 decision. Sure Cork people could of cried injustice aswell but we took our beating by a very good Roscommon Team.

Best of luck to both teams in the Final. They both deserve to be where they are.
