Tommy Walsh

(Oldest Posts First)

Some people love him, some hate him. Personally I love him.

Anyway I was reading in the Irish Independent that since Tommy Walsh made his debut for Kilkenny in 2003, he has played every single championship game and only missed six league games. He also plays the Shinty Internationals every year. To only miss six games for your county over a decade is quite an amazing achievement in my opinion. To consistently perform at the highest level as well as staying injury free for 10 years is amazing.

I'm sure there are many other players around the country with similar records that don't get the recognition, but to win 9 all-stars and 7 All-Irelands in the same period puts him a cut above the rest in my opinion.

One of the greats. Some refs have it in for him I think.

Actually would love to see him move away from wing back this year in to wing forward

one of the greats nearly as good as Tommy Doyle
John Doyle never missed a championship game with Tipp in his career and has 8 All-Ireland medals and 11 national league titles some record.
