What would yours be? Assuming everyone was fit and in form?

GAA has narrowed to gap to AFL in terms of physical fitness, strength and conditioning with a few current county players as fit at anything you'd see in the AFL so picking players now is different to what it was in the era where we had to pick the biggest players we had just to compete. The AFL players now are also not just big brutes but are in fact more like a slimmed down rugby league player with good core strength and S&C.

The current GAA All stars would be a match for Oz in the rules with the exception of a few of the smaller lads. From a Donegal point of view I think the two Mc Gees, Frank Mc Glynn, Leo Mc Loone and Murphy would be perfect for this type of game.

Wouldn't agree Liam I'm afraid....

James McCarthy would be well suited, skillful and a good runner. Would like to see Paul Barden involved along with Gary Brennan of Clare. Surely John Heslin would be in there aswell. From Limerick, be nice to see John Galvin get a chance to represent his country, and I think any manager would be mad not to pick Ian Ryan, been one of the best forwards in the country for the last 2-3 years. Darran O'Sullivan would also tire out the Aussies in a hurry I'd say.

Eoin Donnelly from Fermanagh.

Big, strong, can run all day, good fielder and if the aussies start their carry on he can throw out some serious dead legs off the ball.

Just let it in to Tomas O'Connor, we'll have more marks than a communist manifesto.
