Galway senior football clubs play for the Frank Fox Cup, named after a member of the 1934 All-Ireland winning team who died young.

Offaly SF teams play for The Dowling Cup. Tullamore and Rhode are joint tops.
SH teams play for The Sean Robbins Trophy. First awarded in 1964 , won by Tullamore, they won again in 2009. Coolderry have most titles overall.

In Roscommon hurling we contest for the Mickey Cunniffe cup . It used to be the Conlon Cup and to be honest no one was ever too sure of the history behind that cup.
Mickey Cunniffe was a great hurler for Roscommon hurling king pins, Four Roads in the 90's and early 00's and tragically died in his prime from a brain tumour in 2002. The Co. Board and the other hurling clubs graciously agreed to a request from Four Roads Hurling Club to commission a new cup and name it after Mickey. The magnificent cup was completed and handed over to the Co. Board by Four Roads HC in Aug 2004 and thats what we play for since 2004. Incidentally Four Roads have won the Mickey Cunniffe cup an indecent number of times since 2004 and no doubt motivated by a desire to live up to the memory of Mickey.

The Dowling Cup was presented by the father and two uncles of the late John Dowling, inter county referee, Secretary Offaly Gaa, and President of GAA.

Sean Robbins Cup was presented in 1960 by the Robbins family, Sean died in that year, he was active in the War of Independence, played hurling and football for Offaly, and served as Chairman, Offaly GAA Board. In 1935 he was elected Chairman of The Leinster Council. Drumcullen won the senior championship that year, ironically they have not won since.
Tullamore were county champions in 1964, that bit is correct!

In Mayo the senior championship trophy is called the Moclair Cup, after Paddy Moclair, a great Ballina footballler of the 30s. Not sure who the senior hurling trophy is named after, used to be called the Genfitt trophy after the sponsors.

The Sean Connolly Cup (football) & the J.J. Duignan Cup (hurling). The Fr. Manning Cup (county U16 football) & the Hastings Cup (county U21 football) are also Longford trophies.

In the Wee County the top prize in the Senior football championship is named the Joe Ward Cup. Joe Ward was involved with the Dundalk Young Irelands club. He served both club and county at different times as secretary. Elected chairman of the County Board in 1910, he was also a selector in a year that brought the All Ireland Football title for the very first time. This was the only time that an All Ireland had been won with a walk over as the Kerry team refused to travel to final. This was because the train company at the time would not sell tickets at reduced rates. In recognition of his services to the GAA, he was elected the first honorary president of the Louth County Committee in 1926. He died in 1948. A year later the trophy was named after him and Stabannon Parnells defeated St Mary's from Ardee to become the first winners of the trophy in 1949.

Sean O Mahoneys from Dundalk are the current holders. They have come along way in a short space of time. They won the Inter Championship in 2014. They also won the Leinster Inter Championship that year as well. In 2015 they reached their first ever senior final only to be beaten by the great Paddy Keenans St Pats team. Last year they won their first ever maiden title when they beat St Marys from Ardee with a last min goal. Their most well known player would be John O Brien who was on the Louth team that reached the Leinster final in 2010. Jobser was also nominated for an All Star that year. Newtown Blues from Drogheda have won the most Joe Wards and top the County roll with twenty senior titles.

The American Cup was first awarded for the Monaghan Senior Football Championship in 1949. The cup was donated by some kind benefactors in New York.
It was replaced in 1981 with the Mick Duffy Cup donated by and named after a longtime Co. Board chairman and father of Ard-Stiúrthóir, Paraic Duffy.

Senior clubs in Leitrim play for the Fenagh Cup, named after Fenagh, a parish and village in Leitrim. I have no idea why. May my fellow Leitrimers might have more info!
