Ok, this wont happen, but......

Say Danny or Mugsy were to return home over the summer, and their respective county managers got on the blower asking them to come back for the latter stages.....having played for another county in the championship in this calendar year, would they be prohibited from doing so?

Just curios is all. Is there any precedence for this kind of thing?

Not possible. You are only allowed to play for one county team in a calendar year.
