Something that has annoyed me for a while , reached a head tonight. It's referees who play as much injury time in extra time as they do in normal time. Or more in this case. Laois v kerry was an epic tonight. Laois played most of the 70 minutes with 14 men ( not the referee s fault ) and were understandably tired when extra time came round even though they were restored to 15. Ref played 2 mins injury time in first half of extra time . He then announced 2 more for second half and while some of that was wasted he played 5 mins 17 seconds !! How can that be even possible? Thats the equivalent of adding on 18 minutes at the end of a half !!! As players from both sides were struggling with cramp i think its unfair.
