MEATH coming in under the radar!!!!!!

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

There has been no chat of Meath beating Kildare on Sunday! This is aloada bulls***! Meath have I feel the best 6 forwards in Ireland and at midfield nigel crawford on his day is as good as anyone! I also feel Kevin Reilly is in the top 3 full backs in Ireland! All I say is watch out the lillies the Royals are on the prowl!

Wrong log in?

I too am surprised by the amount of people tipping Kildare, but I think the bookies have it spot on with their odds, this should be a very tight game.

Ha think ill put that in the Quotes of the Year thread. So your telling me they are better than Gooch, Donaghy, The O Sullivans etc. GAS

Meath coming in under the radar you say??

After the the whole spotlight surrounding their unwillingness to offer a replay the Louth following the Leinster final they're coming into the quater finals about the same size as the meteorites in the films Armageddon and Deep Impact and will be about as welcome as the comets in those box office movies. Lets all hope that McGeeney has some contingency plans to dispose of Meath on Sunday as most of the country will be backing and praying for Kildare to progress.

Most teams will actually mark your forwards.. Unlike the dubs that day. :)

By saying meath have the best six forwards i think he means as a unit. Sure is any player the same calibre as Donaghy individually?

And coming in under the radar will suit Meath no doubt as always. This is just how we want it

Unit or no unit! Still a rediculous statement.

Well concidering most people rate stephen cluxton the best keeper in ireland i think that speaks for its self :) if pat spillane agrees we have the 6 best forwards then we must be something special!!! i have never heard the kildare forwards been mentioned as the best!!! have you???????

I predict a 5 point win for us. I just don't think all these tips for Kildare are justified. Sure what have they done all year only lose to Louth by 6 points, needed a replay to dispose of a very average Antrim side, beating the mighty footballers of Leitrim while overcoming 2 Ulster teams in decline down a steep slope. I feel with Crawford back in the mix our midfield pairing is stronger than ever and we should break even there. If we can prevent Kildare from scoring goals and if our forwards play as a unit instead of individuals we should win quite comfortably.

My bet of the weekend. Reckon Meath will beat them with a bit in hand.

Both of these are capable of beating anybody. Both are also capable of being absolutely wretched. Meath have lethal forwards and have a strong spine to the team. 5-9 against any Dublin team is great scoring. Granted Louth have the best midfield in the country but Meath were annihilated at midfield in the Leinster final. Kildares midfield On the otherhand has been really clicking lately, winning primary posession and the dirty ball. Going forward nobody else creates as many shooting chances. 2-17 in Celtic Park cant be dismissed. The backs also look improved. If we can stop Meath getting goals I think Kildares intense, attacking play will just swing the tie. It'll certainly be a classic.

It is unusual just how quiet meath are coming into this game
but thats not a bad thing. Mcgeeney was out singing the other
day about kildare saying"the best is yet to come" wont he look
like a fool if we beat them

How come the Meath fans yesterday were giving out about other posters saying that they hadn't beaten anyone good and today they're saying the exact same thing about Kildare? Presumably ye're all loaded from backing Kildare in all of these matches because it's not like we were a particularly short price in any of them bar the Leitrim one.
