Dublin Need Meath to be Good

(Oldest Posts First)

Dublin havent really been tested in Leinster the last 5 years,ok kildare and Meath ran us close a few times but not enough of a test.A good test from Meath will help the Dubs outside of leinster, and vice versa.I really think Meath are becoming a real strength again, and thats a good thing for Leinster football.

No we don't.

The uncompetiveness of Leinster has not been the Dubs problem. The lack of enough quality players is the reason that we've no All-Ireland since 1995. The Leinster competiveness argument is an excuse.

In fact the easy route through should of been a help not a hindrance, as if we were good enough we wouldn't have to peak until after the provincial campaign.

Although Meath do need Meath to be good. No one else does.

Thats like saying Kerry need Cork to be good or vice versa whereas either side would prefer their rivals were not so good because there would be less chance of a replay and therefore they would be fresher for the All-Ireland.

So if the GAA needs Dublin to be good for funds does that mean the GAA needs Meath to be good

Fancy Meath for Leinster this year, they are dark horses but they let silly goals in at times. Great forwards who are good on the ball.
