Maybe he felt he wouldnt make the team this summer.
He has been poor in recent times in my opinion.... saw him in Celtic Park and he never raised a gallop.

An excellent player who indeed has been a major asset to Tyrone. He has suffered from several injuries over the past couple of years and shipped some heavy knocks. In all honesty in his limited game time this year he has not looked himself and he has struggled. Maybe a bit of time out will help him recover fully from all his niggling injuries and he can return next year.
