An absolute wrong decision by the GAA to propose a two match ban for Jason Forde. What was his crime? PortInFaithful (Offaly) - Posts: 472 - 21/04/2017 10:36:49 1981374 Link 1 |
Once he went near Davey and laid a hand on him, he was going to get suspended too. It was stupid stuff by all involved and cannot believe that 5 days later we are still talking about it! Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 21/04/2017 11:18:11 1981392 Link 2 |
if Davy has a decent bone in his body he should be apologising to the player for this Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 21/04/2017 11:41:03 1981401 Link 2 |
Crazy decision Tipp Co.Board should not allow the CCCC or CHC walk over them on this and refuse any punishment for Forde. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 21/04/2017 11:47:25 1981407 Link 0 |
Would have been better off laying Davy out, get a ban for something worth the crime then, unlike this nonsense of getting a two game for nothing. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 21/04/2017 11:51:51 1981411 Link 1 |
An absolute disgrace of a decision. If Forde gets suspended then the Wexford midfielder should be getting suspended for being "third man in" (I'm glad hes not). Joe_Bloggs (Tipperary) - Posts: 186 - 21/04/2017 11:53:45 1981413 Link 0 |
No need for the player to get involved in it either. Three dominoes at work...bad refereeing decision, over the top and out of order incursion by Davy, and uncalled for reaction by the player. Both suspensions fully merited.

They were able to change the Hurling Penalties quick enough when it suited them.

Fully merits a two game ban. It was 'bully-boy' behaviour on Forde's part - a big man with a hurl in his hand going to sort out a small man. He should have let the ref deal with the problem, that's why the ref is there. neverright (Roscommon) - Posts: 1648 - 21/04/2017 12:40:01 1981430 Link 6 |
It is right to suspend the Tipperary player. A terrible mistake by the referee not to give a free out to Wexford fainleog (Limerick) - Posts: 598 - 21/04/2017 12:43:16 1981432 Link 1 |
Yeah look whatever the rights and wrongs that went before Davy encroaching on to the field he was wrong and got a deserved ban. Likewise the Tipp lad making his way over to tackle Davy was his own doing and again he cannot complain about any punishment handed down. People have to be accountable for their actions. The real irony is that the catalyst to both reactions which resulted in the two bans is the only person who will walk away from this without scrutiny from the GAA. Go figure! I agree with Michael Duignan, inter county managers have no business on the sideline. Let the teams get on with it without all the hand bags, hysteria and bullying from Trump-like ego managers. baire (Galway) - Posts: 1798 - 21/04/2017 13:22:07 1981444 Link 0 |
Amateur game with Professional Gobsh*tes governing it!!! Suspend everyone so the GAA can cover up themselves from this farce. If rules are rules the free out to Wexford should have been given and none of this nonsense would have happened. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 21/04/2017 13:27:53 1981446 Link 0 |
He won't get suspended TIipp will rightly fight this tooth and nail - I hear the DRA doors opening. If he is suspended there is just one stupid clown responsible for it, which is why non-players should not be allowed onto pitches only in GAA would you get this sort of crap at highest levels.

if forde had not ran up to davy like he did,or if davy had approached him,he would have been ok.once he ran over to him,he was always going to match davys punishment. perfect10 (Wexford) - Posts: 3929 - 21/04/2017 14:22:06 1981468 Link 0 |
The referee was WRONG to allow play to continue after the Wexford player was fouled not once but twice. Tipperary were always favourites to win but the second goal was an important turning point leaving the underdogs playing catch up for the rest of the match. The second goal cushion meant Wexford didnt draw level or ease ahead during their second half comeback when they pulled it back to two points. And that was mid season two so felt in the wrong side of it in both national finals with Kilkenny that year.
