Galway V Wexford

Shocked to see Galway are favourites for this game. Davy has said wexford are a few years away from all Ireland glory so I expect that he has his squad hiped up for leauge glory, while Galway are clearly of the pace at the moment.
Don't get me wrong I want a Galway win but as a person who likes a bet I see wexford as favourites for this match

I would agree with that.
Wexford are at full tilt now and home advantage should ensure they progress to league semifinal.
I would expect either Wexford or Tipp to win the league this year.

I would expect Wexford to win this, yes Galway may be All Ireland champions, but they've been quite poor so far this year, and I can't see anything other than a Wexford win.

Wexford should be winning this by about 4 points. It will all depend on their motivation...if they badly want to win they'll win because Galway won't want to win it as badly as they will. I wonder though will Davy want another clash against KK in the semi final? They have played each other enough already and don't think it is ideal for them to play KK again before their championship match. But don't think Davy will shy away from another match vs KK ...however it turns out, he can turn it into a positive thing for their championship meeting.

This is an ideal league quarter final match for Galway. We are getting a "dry run" against Wexford in the "den" of Wexford Park before we go to play them there in the championship. I'm sure we will give it a good rattle but it will be great to take on Wexford at home in championship-like conditions without having to be too worried about the result.

Agree with this.

Of course we will turn up.

What is been said on this topic is on what we seen so far Galway look of the pace and wexford are playing well and at home so they should be favourites not Galway.

I fancy Wexford here by 3/4 points. Playing at home with a rejuvenated following adds an extra bit to their game.

Galway are still without Daithi Burke who is with Corofin on St.Patrick's Day and is absence can't be underestimated. Joe Canning has limited game time underneath as does David Burke.

Would surprise me in the slightest to see Galway win this one but I think at this stage in the year Wexford are a bit further long and up to the pace of things. If anything it will serve as a rehearsal for when Galway arrive in the Summer.

I think Galway will have enough firepower to sneak this one but has the potential to be a cracker. Limerick game will have brought on Galway no end.
There wont be anything in this one though

The bad weather from last week will be a help to Galway ,while wexford was under snow Galway was not. I presume the team were on their way when news of the cancellation came in. if Galway team returned and had a behind close door game this will have helped Daivid burke and JC . Galway will also have a very fit dathi burke to call on though his touch for the small ball might be of. while I still think on form wexford should be favorites, it has become a harder game to call. I have changed my view and am now slightly confident of a Galway win .

Big game tomorrow, can't wait to welcome the All-Ireland champions to Wexford Park but the welcome will end when they run onto the pitch!!
Should be a cracking game, hard to know what way it will go but a dress-rehearsal for June is all the game is really.
I think Galway will win by a point or two.

I'll be honest. I think Galway need to win this to start getting their heads right for the Championship. Don't want to go in on the back of a loosing streak, especially when the games lost are really the only ones that counted against proper opposition (with all due respect).

That's not to say I expect Galway to win, or am ruling out the Model County's chances. Home advantage and a good team means this game could go either way.

Good game, congrats Wexford, hope ye win league. Galway do not score enough goals, going for impossible points too much.

The sending off swung this Wex's way. I would like to know what happened?

Great game

Happy to see Wexford win and all the best to them from here on in, if Dublin don't progress I'd like to see Wexford go all the way

Why was the Galway corner forward sent off? Telly did not seem to pick it up. An awful lot of cards in the game which was probably of the ref's own making as he let all kinds of pulling and dragging go unpunished.

From what I could see the ref pulled the play back for a free. The ball had already been played into the corner. The Wexford defender went down to pick it up and Coyne attempted to flick it away (I don't think either had heard the whistle and were simply playing on) Coyne must of caught him because he stayed down. The two umpires that ended up getting him sent off did nothing for a good thirty seconds but the Wexford lads stayed at them, they decided to have a chat then, and then a chat with the ref and he got sent off. Hopefully there was more in it than what I saw as if there wasn't it seemed harsh.
