What an apsolute belter of a match both teams going toe to toe and not a sweeper to be seen. It's a pity other countries don't adopt the same attitude as Kilkenny and Tipperary neither team afraid to take one another on and have a go. These so called systems have become a cancer in the Gaa especially in football where every county that goes out to play (especially against the Dubs ) bring everyone behind the ball and it would bore you to tears.

Yes the full back line if I may rephrase. Two stand out defenders last night were the Mahers.
Hope your un puzzeled now!!!

Kilkenny would be disappointed with giving away two goals from very bad mistakes.

Looking at League Sunday, the first penalty foul was clearly outside the penalty area.

Was it when he was taking the penalties

Keeper 7 is correct. The first penalty was outside the penalty area. It was given, so that's history.

One of them funny ones where the Kilkenny man looked to be outside the square and the Tipp man inside it. It was definitely a foul and a very silly one, I'd be more inclined to blame the defender than the officials for a penalty being awarded.

Great game to watch, full blooded stuff

Quality wise it wasn't the best, some poor finishing as players ran themselves ragged (especially Tipp late on)

But it was some game, and great for the NHL Div 1A profile at this time of year

Have to agree it was so clumsy he gave the ref no choice even if he was outside. The second penalty was the same, no need for it. Really enjoyed the game. Did any of read Ger Loughnane in the paper after it ? The man is fast loosing all creditabilty.

I wouldn't be overly worried. James Barry will get fitter and is the best full back around and the chances are the two corner backs this year will be Donagh Maher and Barrett and Hamill won't get a look in. I'd expect Willie Ryan to be the closest to take the 5 jersey from Kennedy. Brendan will come back in at midfield and Bonnar at centre with O'Brien to challenge McCormack and Niall O'Meara an impact sub. I'd be happy enough that he's going the right way to building a panel with strength and depth. I expect to see more of Willy Ryan and the two Flynn's the next day and possibly Aidan Mc to get another chance.
Don't mind Ger!

If you don't mind me adding Kilkenny have some good players in reserve Ger Alyward will be a big bonus,James Maher,Kevin Kelly and maybe John Power. Both Tipp and KK have fantastic talent to watch in the summer.
