Dublin v Mayo

Replying To yew_tree:  "Calling Mayo fans scumbags, inbred, are two examples I have seen. For the record I have seen that Mayo page call Dublin fans the same. The administrator of any page sets the tone and what has been allowed to be said is not in the ethos of the GAA."
So Barry hasn't called anyone names it's the people who leave messages on his page?

Why does his page not delete those comments and even worse "like" those type comments then?
I would be totally against his form of 'banter"....same goes for my own county banter page.

Replying To TheWestIsAwake:  "It should be a good game especially if Mayo play as attacking as they did against the Rossies last week.

Whats happened to Regan, certainly not lived up to the hype. From what I've seen I don't see him becoming a Mayo regular. Mayo are in desperate need of an inside forward, not expecting it to be Irwin this year so there's a bit of pressure on Loftus to make the step up."
Thewestawake, Don't forget to post your predictions in the Division 3 thread for this week.

Two changes from the team vs Donegal.

Davey Byrne comes in for Jack.
And
MDM comes in for Reddin.

That's what's announced anyhow, Jim continues to blood and stick with the young lads.

I'd expect a Mayo win if that's the team Dublin are lining out with. Or anything near it. Dublin aren't too bothered with winning the league I don't think this year(although will probably end up winning it anyway). Their priority is to test out new blood, so I can see Mayo winning this one. Maybe a morale booster for Stephen Rochford and co but I do hope Dublin make a few changes to this team and put out a stronger team. You won't get that same feeling of a Sunday in September but I'd like to see a good bash between these two today with plenty of the main faces from last year's final.

He does the page on his own for no money he's over 70 thousand followers , you want him to administrate every single post that's posted to his sites? The man has a job he wouldn't do a tap if he was to administrate every single post that's sent.

He doesn't need to moderate every post, like, emoticon, photo's posted etc. He can filter them and almost certainly does. 70,000 doesn't mean 70,000 individuals either. Could be plenty of trolls in their getting their kicks with multiple profiles and you get them everywhere. You can't legislates for a few anonymous keyboard clowns trying to wind people up. They get their kicks, like bullies, from people's annoyed reactions so, as difficult as it can be sometimes, try and ignore them.

Mayo very poor in final third and shot selection awful, they should be further behind. And I hate to bring this up lads, but looks like a clear eye gouge by Dean Rock. Or am I the only one who saw that?

Hard to say. Raised his hand, we didn't protest too much. Level 1 handbags. We need to be. Lot more direct in their half. Macauley's having some game.

Pathetic performance, men v toddlers, don't mind losing if you play well and the better team wins but to go out onto a pitch and play pathetically is shocking, I know it's only round 4 in the League but this is awful from Mayo, nothing on the pitch, nothing on the bench, nothing in the management, Rochford only has 1 option, it's to win Sam in 2017 or it'll be the P45, no more crap, no more sob stories from players, no more rose coloured glass view by fans, we gave the last management 1 more chance after the pathetic performance in Castlebar in 2015 v Dublin when we got hammered, sorry shamed, when the management didn't learn anything after the drawn All Ireland semi final it was curtains for the management regardless of what the players wanted, Rochford and co including some players are in the last chance saloon, Sam in September or bye bye . End of

And by the way everyone needs to chill the beans even after that result. Mayo will still be there or thereabouts come the Autumn. Dubs still tops though. Too easy.

Relax. Very poor tonight alright. But better it happens now rather than August or September. The Dubs are a big step up in class on our previous 3 league opponents, without getting out of first gear or having their best 15.

Yeah Dean Rock ..must be something they practice in training at this stage..mayo were shocking how they conceded only one goal is unreal..Their goalkeeper was brilliant though ..I think they should drop him for the next game ;)

Replying To hill16no1man:  "To hell with all this looking ahead and bigger picture stuff and giving game time wanting people rested and playing down and licking up to the other team.
The sides may not even meet in the championship, there is a national title to play for in this competition, we are going for 5 in a row that was only ever achieved once before. I sure as hell want to see Dublin go out to win every game, it has served us brilliantly to date and remember before we started to take the league seriously we couldn't lay a glove on the championship, hope to see a much more attacking side put out on Saturday night, not like the one that played into Donegals hands and help contribute to the ballybofey borefest , I want to see a croker cracker and a dubs win."
Here here ..agree 100% ...win and win well..no exceptions..

Ultimately it's going to be an Ulster side that will eventually stop the Dublin juggernaut. Mayo, Kerry, Cork etc don't have the belief or physical and mental strength to take on Dublin; 99 times out of 100 they are beaten before they take the field against the Dubs. Once again like Tyrone against Kerry it will be Ulster who has to take them on to save Gaelic Games.
