I'm hoping to see EOG start

Ball sticks to him like glue, Mayo never handle him well

Get a couple of runners off him for the quick lay off

And if Mayo are as porous at the back as they have been quite a bit this year, I see goals for the Dubs.

It's not meant to be a bad night either, bit of rain beforehand but clearing up for the game

Should make for good football on the big pitch

That Hill 16 Army page along with the Mayo GAA banter page are a disgrace. Full of bandwagon idiots who know nothing about football.

A lot of those muppets tend to pop up flaming on social media any time there's a Dublin or Mayo related story. It's quite frankly tiresome and sad.

Was that in 2012? It's the last time I remember Mayo beating Dublin in the league. In fairness, they did also beat them in the championship that year too, so it's not like it was an ephemera.

+1.

I don't look at the Mayo GAA Banter page but I have the Hill16 page blocked so their tripe doesn't show up on my newsfeed when friends share their (stolen) 'opinion pieces' and posts. The way that Barry fella speaks to people and the comments by my fellow Dubs in response to his posts are a disgrace and an embarrassment. '98fm Dub of the year' my a*s.

And before anyone informs me of his charitable work he does I'm aware of that and fair dues to him but I've no time for the stuff he puts on his page.

Yep there are too many fan pages now in each county. They spend most of their time focusing on referees and how unlucky their team is every time they lose. Basically it's ok if our lads get away with stuff but criminal if the opposing team do it and they win the match. Cringe stuff.

Listen fair enough if you don't like him or his page but what's so terribly bad that he puts up? All I see is a bit of banter and a love for Dublin. Harmless stuff imo.

Those two "fan" pages incite hatred and should be shut down.

Can you give me an example of the Hill 16 page inciting hate? I'm not saying it doesn't but I've never noticed it?

I'm not talking about the 'banter'. I pay no heed to any of that. I'm talking about the way he speaks to people whose points/comments he doesn't like or that disagree with him. One Mayo man (i think he was from Mayo) made an innocent 'banter' comment on one of his posts last year and the vitriol he received in response was disgusting. He tried to delete all the comments but the Mayo man had already shared what he had to say and it got seen by quite a few. Horrible stuff.

Not to mention his whole attitude towards people not from Dublin being on the Hill. We're killing ourselves trying to tell people Parnell Park is our home ground and he spouts off his tripe about other people trying to get on the Hill to 'spite Dublin. It's not our home ground, it's the national stadium and GAA HQ and anyone that wants to buy a ticket for the Hill is entitled to.

When we beat Tyrone last year the Mayo Banter page had a picture of Tyrone from Coronation Street being beaten by his girlfriend. I posted my unhappiness with this picture, and unfollowed, but many seemed to think that mocking Tyrone GAA by laughing at domestic violence was hilarious. Facebook should have taken down the page but why turn potential ad revenue from the many hits it generated?

Calling Mayo fans scumbags, inbred, are two examples I have seen. For the record I have seen that Mayo page call Dublin fans the same. The administrator of any page sets the tone and what has been allowed to be said is not in the ethos of the GAA.

It should be a good game especially if Mayo play as attacking as they did against the Rossies last week.

Whats happened to Regan, certainly not lived up to the hype. From what I've seen I don't see him becoming a Mayo regular. Mayo are in desperate need of an inside forward, not expecting it to be Irwin this year so there's a bit of pressure on Loftus to make the step up.
