Well done to Galway today, they were superb and should have won by far more.

Best of luck to both teams in the final.

Good win but some amount of chances not taken. That game should have been over by half time.

Backed Galway. I've seen underage teams before overhyped failing to perform. A lot of pressure on young shoulders. Well done Galway

Mayo you better win Sam soon cause Galway are the future my god how good were they? I'm not going to dog young lads but I couldn't see one player from Kerry that's senior standard they all looked like kids with no build yet besides 14, now there only young and can have bad days but the hype I think was a bit ott. Galway have some amount of class players coming through number 3 7 8 9 11 14 15 are outstanding.

Galway seem to be the fitter and pacier team they seemed to have the legs on the Kerry lads.

A hugely disappointing day. Semi finals are never nice to lose but at least if you leave it all out on the field then there is some consolation but Donegal never got going today at all. It happens to all teams but is never pleasant when it does.

Fair dues to Dublin, even without Con O'Callaghan they were always the better team & well deserve their place in the final also big congratulations to Galway on a superb win against Kerry who probably feel the same way we do.

Such is life.

Happy to see that Dublin team get to the final after being so close in 2016. Exceptional 2nd half performance and all without Con.

Although it would have been better and fairer to see Donegal have another few days to rest.

Although not sure what level of impact it had, the game was won tactically from the side line for me.

From a future perspective, Happy to see Kerry beaten, for all the hype their successful minor teams have not produced quality at U21, that's two years on the bounce under JOC where they didn't reach a final, and in 2016 didn't even get out of Munster

Galway certainly didn't buy into it and were the better team all over the pitch, the margin could of been greater, but they sat back a bit late on.

Dublin will have their work cut out for them, but a great achievement getting to the final, and there's a number of U21's there that could bolster the seniors over the next couple of years

Might not do those Kerry lads any harm in the long run. All through their underage careers they've known nothing but winning. Game after game. Defeat in a big match for them might not be the worst thing even though they won't feel like that tonight.

Three games in a short period of time must have caught up with Donegal today as they looked extremely leggy. Dublin are a well coached team and seem to have a good bit of pace (maybe this was down to the sluggishness of most of the opposition) and will be difficult to beat.
Hard to judge the second game as the wind seemed to be very strong. Galway looked hugely impressive in the first twenty minutes and when put under pressure in the fourth quarter but they were very wasteful. They have some outstanding players and leaders on their team. Kerry never really recovered from the poor start and O'Connor made a lot of changes early in the game. They lacked a real leader in their mid sector of the field. Should be an interesting final.

Congratulations Dublin and Galway. I am disappointed but we were outclassed today. No complaints. I only wish we had a few extra days to prepare as some of our boys could only manage a jog in the 2nd half. I know they did their very best but were outplayed and out thought as well. Should be a great final. As I said last week, the form book means nothing. It's all on the day and usually the team who deserves to win does so.

Bit harsh on kerry.

Geaney looked every bit a senior player in croker last week!

Just back from Breffni. And am naturally disappointed in particular as it reinforced something that has been evident for some time now, that being our style of play, not just in this and other games involving Donegal teams at various grades, but what is now a blueprint for how we play the game. In short it has to change. Congratulations to Dublin on an excellent win and to the team especially as they were probably not fancied as much as other Dublin teams over the recent years. They won convincingly, without their main man and were unlucky not to be playing against 14 men after a particularly high challenge by a Donegal player which got a yellow rather than red. Dublin had a plan and they had purpose about what they were doing in stark contrast to Donegal. Their #11 & #12 wreaked havoc all day and whilst they're unlikely to be another Connolly or Brogan, they are excellent players who should be great additions to Dublin Senior panel, team in due course. So very well done to Dublin and Dessie Farrell. To our own players we are very lucky to have you as you are a superb generation of players who will deliver success for us in the years ahead, particularly if it comes with a change to how we set up and play. I heard on the way out of the game that this was game number five in 17 days and if that was the case it's most unfortunate and unfair. But chin up, even the favourites Kerry lost today. Congrats again to Dublin and all the best in the final.

I got hammered on here the other day for suggesting Donegal's football was terrible to watch!!!

Whats the club football like in Donegal? Is it played with a similar style? I wouldn't know if these lads are even capable of kicking a ball based on what I saw today. There was so many times in that first half where a Donegal player was so hesitant when it came to shooting and would end up turning back.

As for Galway it was a mighty win and the 4 points difference didn't do the performance justice. Rob Finnerty had a day to forget but he wasn't the only one who was wasteful so they've got plenty to be working on for the final. Galway were the far hungrier team but had the talent to capitalise on this.

Looking forward to seeing this Kerry team they're raving about in the Kingdom!"
They were fairly raving about them alright down there. Very much over hyped.

Excellent win by Galway who totally outclassed this Kerry team.

Looking forward to Dublin pitting their wits against Galway in the Final...
Wasnt expecting us to beat a much fancied Donegal team.
But we were by far the better team today.

Well said Jimbo, on both games.

For us to beat that Donegal team so well, without King Con for nearly all of the game speaks volumes.

Nice to see our other friends being brought down a peg or two.
They were beginning to lose the run of themselves over the past week.... :o)

Anyway, should be a good Final and an unexpected paring also.

Totally over the top-ye must have been great player yourself! Very difficult to play two big games inside 5-6 days and a poor decision by powers to be. May do Kerry no harm in the longer term. Hard luck to the beaten teams and the best of luck to both teams in what is the last u21 final-it has been a great competition over the years.

Good man Fionn

No doubt a better weekend for us Dub fans, and some encouraging signs from several Dublin players today, I've seen the U21s a couple of times this year and that was their best performance

Dublin should setup very similar again, I can see them causing Galway a lot of trouble with a similar defensive strategy and countering with pace and delivering ball into a talented FF line

Whatever happens in the final, we've a good crop there, Dessie doing a good job and they won't be too far off.

Great stuff

A great day for the underdog is all I can say :) Really surprised Dublin came through even more Kerry losing.
