I believe a number of players got injured today in the pre season tournaments. border Gael (Monaghan) - Posts: 894 - 08/01/2017 20:33:36 1944100 Link 0 |
You can get an injury at any time of the year. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 08/01/2017 20:42:23 1944105 Link 0 |
Totally agree but you've got to feel sorry for someone whose season could end first weekend in January.

A serious injury like the one McAliskey potentially has is really the final straw that broke the camels back. It is heartbreaking for the player, but you will find this was going to happen sooner rather than later. Jan/Feb ground is heavy, uneven you get a fair share of hamstrings as well this time. Only so much injury prevention/fitness can do to tired strained limbs. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4895 - 09/01/2017 11:16:34 1944241 Link 0 |
Its hard on any player, we lost a exceptional talent against Kildare a few years back to injure in O'Byrne cup. He returned to training only to do cruciate, and unfortunately looks like never playing again. The player I speak of is Connor Gillespie. Huge loss and one Meath still hasn't replaced . Its very hard on the players, but it happens unfortunately all too often royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 09/01/2017 12:13:13 1944257 Link 0 |
