Dual Counties with Dual Supporters

i think i am one of the only REAL dual supporters in wexford, unfortunately due to a mrs and children i now have to choose and i more often than not choose hurling because lets face it you see a higher level of the sport.
i think there is extreme paranoia in wexford about the "other game",with hurling being blamed in football parts and football being blamed in hurling parts.
in truth, both just want to blame their own failings on somebody else.

you are very complimentary to yourself anyway.
I go to a good few Wexford hurling and football games and in fairness you meet a lot of familiar faces at both codes. you wouldn't see many Buffers alley, Rathnure and Oulart people at football games though.

Clare and Limerick football teams are fairly poorly supported. West Clare and West Limerick are the Gaelic heart lands and in East Clare and in East and South Limerick and the City youd have very few who would follow the footballers.
In my opinion Galway arent gteat at supporting either code. Cork people in general dont have any Gra for the football.

Replying To TheHermit:  "That's true they must be the worst supported team in the GAA. Outside of west Cork if the footballers were playing in the back yard most Corkonians would draw the curtains unless of course there's a trip to Killarney on offer!"
Ya because the Kerry faithful really do follow there team the length and breath of the country. bar an All Ireland final or a fixture against the Dubs the Kerry support are one of the worst in the country.

i think if meath could build on thier recent success in hurling they would get good crowds to leinster championship games in croker. meath people still see croker as their second home and on their doorstep they travelled in big numbers to the two ring finals. all the big poopulation areas all have hurling tradition as well such as navan, dunboyne, ratoath, trim, enfield, athboy and every where in south and west Meath. it has the best chance of any smaller county to do great things in hurling perhaps even another dublin

Wexfords football fanbase is non existent. Been to a few double headers in Croke Park involving them and they'd always be the least supported of the 4 teams.

The Wexford football supporters I've met over the years all support the hurlers too.
