And sure what difference does it make when they decide to retire, surely that is their own business? Kerry won't be back training until the end of the year and the County final is only on on Sunday. Star might go, but I hope not. I think he still has a lot to offer from the bench if we use him correctly. For example in the semi-final he was asked to run back and forwards from the 40 to midfield all day, instead of throwing him inside the square during the second half and letting him do some damage. Look at the havoc Geaney was causing, if they let Star in with him for long enough a few more goals could have come from it. I'll never understand why we can't let the lad in their for 15-20 minutes and see what comes from it. TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 12/10/2016 11:11:35 1925276 Link 0 |
I see young O'Connor will be signing with a contract in the AFL that is a serious blow as he would have got serious gametime next year and beyond and you can bet that Tadhg will be trying to take more of those young lads in the coming years HurlingWarrior (Limerick) - Posts: 61 - 12/10/2016 11:15:56 1925278 Link 0 |
