The greatest Dublin team of all time and yer only falling over the line against a so-so Kerry side, sure deep down in yer souls ye know that as well as we do do we :D

Enjoy the brief few years the Sun shines on Dublin - A green and gold dawn is breaking and breaking soon!!!

Now go off and enjoy the winter and don't be so obsessed with us..."
Green and Gold dawn, nice words to hear, we are down for a long time but its nice to see folk in Kerry are optimistic about the near future of Meath football.

But didn't Kerry lose to the same team 3 times in the 00's? So you got to six finals in a row but mainly cause you avoided Tyrone. 35 years in your pocket haha so it's our fault when your were crap that we could never play you's in the early 90's?

Listen lad, Dublin have a long, long way to go before they ever match what Kerry has achieved in this sport.

Talking about our 'Double' being tarnished. We were facing the best Cork side in 20 years down in Munster. We still managed to get to 6 finals back to back, you've only made it to 2 consecutive ones and that's with being in the weakest province that the GAA has probably ever seen.

Anyway, looking forward to discussing all this over the winter months. Fair play to ye for having the upper had at the moment, but it is only for the moment.

I'm sure your smart enough to realise Kerry will always come back, if nothing else 2014 should have proven that to all of you.

Enjoy keeping Sam for a second year, come February we go at it again and with a bit of luck Sam will be home in Kerry this time next year.

Their is challegne ahead for Dublin GAA at this point and i think its important to look for the future, Dublin have a pool of current, developing and very talented players in/to be brought into the panel.

But the hermit makes some very good points, Kerry some how manage sustained success decade after decade. Now you can look at Munster or Leinster as being easy championships and runs to finals histroically in mitigation - personally i always feel Kerry often got a flat track to all irelands - but you cant argue with numbers of all ireland or apperances in finals.

This Dublin team evolves and there will be five year shelf life in terms of current guise. We know Kerry have talented under age, as do Mayo that will develop by the time the life cyckle of the majority of this Dublin team is coming to an end.

The challenge for Dublin GAA now is to future proff and continue to evolve, a 5 year, 10 year and 15 plan needs to be put place now. This period of dominance needs to leave a legacy that will see Dublin being there or thereabouts over the next half a decade and beyond.

Dublin GAA is in a very strong place from Senior level down, its really important that legacy nurutred and cultivated and Dublin never go away.

Dublin win 4 league titles in a row and win back to back All Irelands...and all ye can talk about is Kerry? Some Dublin fans have got lost over the last year or so up their own arses.

There is no doubt that the Dubs are the best team in the country and have been for the last 5 years. The worst part for Dubs fans is that it wont last forever. There is such a thing as being a bad winner and a lot of Dublin posters on here are exactly that.

Does all dublin's recent success now mean that the GAA are going to allocate their funding to division 4 counties?

Dublin will continue with the structures in place

A masterful strategic plan conceived by the DCB, that was then built by 1000's of hours of insanely dedicated volunteer work has got us to this place.

If it's not broke and all that, continue the work and winning will breed winning

Look at the thousands of kitted out boys and girls at the home coming.

Dublin jerseys outselling premier league jerseys

It's a very different climate now, and the hard work will continue.

Forgetting everything else

The Spring Series alone has brought in millions in TV rights money/ad sales/sponsorship add ons and will continue to do so, Saturday night prime time live games with all the bells and whistles attached

Hugely successful intititave conceived by the DCB that has brought in huge sums in additional revenue, grown the durability of the organisation at that time of year and again that wouldn't have existed without the DCB

But sure I guess I'm being arrogant for stating an inconvenient truth.
