Dean Rock wins "Golden boot" and...

Ryan is a superb footballer who can play any position on the field in my opinion. He may or may not win All Star this year but the fact remains that he is up there with the very best. Maybe quite not on Keegan/James McCarthy's level just yet but getting close.

I'd give him an All Star, he's added more to his game from play this year and I've been impressed with him. There's not a lot to choose between Rock & C O'Connor but Rock has certainly had the better year, O'Connor is a great goal scorer if he gets the chances which he's not had this year.

"When I'm training, we receive set meals by Dublin GAA food partner Gourmet Food Parlour, which forms part of our overall nutrition plan.""
Reading the interview it would appear that the meals are provided by a food company which have obviously entered into a sponsorship deal with the county board.
It doesn't say that the county board provided the meals. Anyway the sponsorship deals agreed by each county is their business.
What is our business is the skewed funding by the GAA.

Ah yeah, I don't have a problem with it. Just a point of note after it was said it was a myth.

Jack McCaffrey was on newtalk laughing about it during the week and said the only meals he ever had delivered were from Dominos!
I dunno maybe the fact that Philly's business incl delivering healthy meals to people drove a myth ??

Was in college a few years ago with a lad who was involved with Dublin teams at a few different age groups, he lived near college and used to get free lunch in Centra the odd time.

By the end of the first semester lads had convinced themselves he was getting it cos he was on the Dublin panel and all their players got a similar deal.

Turned out his mate and a brother own and managed the place.

But yeah, they all get free stuff. Sure didn't Kev McManamon run a food wholesalers / delivery company at some stage as well. Obviously they were all getting freebies from him."
If Rock wasn't a free taker he wouldn't be on the Dublin panel never mind the team.
Very good free taker like many others in the country but very average footballer from play."
Just don't agree with this one bit.

The guys a finisher. Puts up scores from play that more lauded forwards would be proud of. He seems to get disregarded simply because he's a free taker.

He's so good at getting himself into space in front of the posts, that's not easily done against any top defence.

Absolute class act.

If Tyrone had him they'd be in some shape. Getting scores is the hardest part of the game and he does it as well as anyone not counting his free taking.

Not a joke at all Liam. Ryan Mchugh was class in every game, not his fault that they lost to the Dubs. To be honest the All Stars are a joke. Usually picked based on semi and final. Players moved around to another position so they don't miss out. Until they start picking players where they actually played I don't care about the All Stars.
