regardless of result Dublin will be the team to beat over the next 10 years or so. Can Mayo win? It is a long shot. They need so much to go their way. A long list of things.
My instinct says Dublin will thrash Mayo. My heart yearns for a 2 point Mayo win. One last thing, last match Dublin beat Mayo in Castlebar by 2 points. A pointer?

Replying To Tonny1975:  "Less then 24hrs to the greatest GAA moment since Clare won Hurling All Ireland in 95. As a Meathman,, I can say in 96 you didn't deserve it, but tomorrow you will deserve the win. Tomorrow we will see greatest celebrations west of the Shannon since the pope landed in Galway in 1979. THE WESTS AWAKE will be sung from Ballinasloe to Ballina from Castlebar to Carrick on Shannon from Ballintubber to Tubbercurry. Mayo ALL Ireland champions 2016 it goings to happen."
Don'r stop believing Tonny. Fair play to you.
Dublin to win convincingly.

'As a Meath man', the crap you spout about the Dubs that doesn't surprise me at all.

Should be a cracker, If Mayo produce the big game that they have not done all year they have a great chance.

Hope Mayo win because I will collect a few bob if they do!
As much as I hate Mayo fans in a sporting sense nobody deserves it more than them.So good luck.

It would be nice to think that the many idiots who posted on this thread that Dublin would win by a landslide would put their hands up now and acknowledge that they know nothing about football and refrain from posting such rubbish in future. Lucky for them they can hide behind a moniker. I'm far from being knowledgeable about football but even I knew this was going to be a very close game.

Yeah Poolie I hold my hand up. You got lucky though. Its great for you that Dublin played way below par compared to how they usually play and that's why the game was tight. When they were 5 up I expected the Dubs to push on and win by 15 but they went into a shell or something and seemed to let Mayo have a chance which they couldn't take and boy will they regret that for the rest of their lives. You win today but I'll be back after the replay.

I think one point that hasn't been mentioned much is it's difficult to put back to back football all-irelands. The talk is mostly of Dublin never playing as poorly again and having more scope to improve. However have Dublin the same ultra desire to win as they had in 11, 13 and 15? In attempting to put back to backs is there more pressure on a team than we realise..does it make that team a little more nervy? is there a mental fatigue factor? I presume there's a reason only Kerry 2006 and 2007 are the only team to do it in 26 years.

Personally i don't know and all will be revealed on October 1st!
