Who do you THINK will win, not who you want to win?

Dublin or Mayo?

And your reasons why....

Mayo. I would love to see them end their long famine.

Dublin

I think they'll score 18 or 19 points or thereabouts.

I think Mayo will score 14 or 15.

So Mayo would need to score 2 goals more than Dublin do which I don't think will happen.

I actually think Mayo might win it this time around despite all logic pointing to a Dublin win and a comfortable one at that.

I just think there is a big game in Mayo, a big performance in them and other years they tend to be in the final already after having that big game and big performance.

Player wise they are probably better suited than almost any other team to match Dublins power and pace and despite them not being overly impressive to date they have proved this year that they can win games by playing a different style when required.

All logic points to a Dublin win, they have an outstanding team and when the pressure came on, when the game needed to be won against Kerry they came through and came through in some style in the previous game, that game alone gives them a massive boost compared to Mayo quite literally stumbling over Tipperary and other games to boot, whereas Dublin have gone from strength to strength as the season has gone on.

The more i think about it the more an easy Dublin win looks more and more likely, but why then do i just think Mayo will sneak it?

You're a natural contrarian I guess.

Dublin - I've tried to make cases for both Donegal and Kerry to beat the Dubs but I was proved wrong on both counts. I don't think Mayo are much better than Donegal and I don't think they are as good as Kerry. Unless Dublin do something mad like get 2 players sent off in the 1st half I can't see Mayo getting within 6.

Mayo we will win because they have come under the radar nicely and the Dubs seem to bottle it when they do back to back championships.

i think dublin at the minute, but ill be interested to hear from both camps in the comin week and could change my mind, also injuries and the like.
I fancied tipp for the hurling as i just liked what their manager was saying in the build up, you could tell that he was focused.
at the minute, i can just see dublin scoring more from play than mayo and indeed i see them scoring more from dead balls than mayo, now with rock capable of kicking literally anything. actually, who kicks frees for dublin at a tight angle from the right(left footed)?

Anyone else think he was underspoken of in aftermath v kerry, I mean without him they wouldnt have won. He is laser accurate and rarely makes a mistake on the ball in open play. Like Stephen Hendry in snooker, while connolly is ronnie o sullivan.

Sticking on the snooker analogy, Mayo are Jimmy White.

Dublin all day long for me. They'll hit a purple patch and I just can't see Mayo living with them when that happens. I wouldn't bet against it happening at a similar time to the Kerry semi, either.

Think: Dublin
Hope: Dublin
Let's hope the Dubs put on an attacking display that is worth watching

Think Dublin will just have to much for Mayo. Just think the strength of the panel will see them through. For Mayo to win they will have to have the greatest game they ever played. I still feel there is a big performance in them but don't think it will be good enough. Dublin by 4

If both play to their full potential in a free flowing game, Dublin will win with ease.

If Mayo can assert themselves, squeeze Dublin on, sneak a few goals and score points frequently from distance, they will be in with a shout.

If Dublin lose their composure or if Mayo lose their focus, they may be gifting the momentum to the other side.

Mayo... by a few (only if the stars align perfectly for them)

I have a feeling for Mayo actually, why?

Well, I'd agree that there is usually one big performance in Mayo every year and we have yet to see it.

Given how good Dublin look and how much they will be hyped up this is possibly the first time Mayo are going into a final as such rank outsiders. I'd venture that expectation is probably as low as it has ever been for Mayo in the run up to an All-Ireland and I think that will aid them being able to put in that big performance.

I also can't remember the last time a Mayo team actually turned up and played to their potential in a final, surely it has to happen sometime.

Mayo had a serious few chances to beat Dublin last year and I see no reason based on that why they can't give them a serious rattle again.

But it is crucial that Mayo start well, something they have never managed to do in a final in the last 15 years. They have to make sure they do not ship any early goals and get through that first quarter.

Mayo are better than both imo.

That's if they can get back to last year's level.
