If Scaldy is the one who played for Portglenone/Sean Stinsons then I was good friends with him. I played against the following: Crow Animal Windows Purple There was a guy from Aldergrove with a very unsavoury one based on the colour of his skin that got shouted loud and proud by his teammates. Pretty bad looking back on it. His son is on the Galway minor team that will play Kerry on the 18th. In fairness his nickname is a lot better than the music of Fat Larry's Band ! The Down team of the late 90's had loads of nicknames as well. Chris 'white hunter' Mageean, shortened to hunter.
