I think the only tickets left are for that abortion of a stand at the bottom of the hogan and the hill.

You'd be better staying at home as watch a game there.

There has been poor crowds for the hurling all year the league final replay, munster/Leinster finals, quarter finals and the 2 kilk/wat games

The last time I was in the Nally it was the old stand. Where is the best place to stand ? (maybe the top corner beside the Hogan?), does it fill up early ?. Whats the view like ?

I got my fill last year when Galway reached yet another AI to Kilkenny. I have been at every final since 1993 and this past few years give my tickets free from my company. After last year's final I told the guys I wouldn't be at another final that Kk are in. The rule book has been thrown out and that suits kk, charging is my biggest gripe. I dont dislike kk I just want to see new teams involved.

Likewise, never been on it since terracing built - do the "seat" numbers on the ticket mean anything of is it first come first served?

First come first served the view is better then you would think, the one thing is it can be annoying standing behind the netting at the back of the goals

Been on the Nally terrace loads. Was there on Sunday.

I tend to go in and just go in behind the goal. Same view as you get on the hill just the Nally is to the right of the goal while the Hill is to the left.

Both the Nally and Hill have the same view from behind the goal.

They are better off staging all hurling matches in Thurles from now on, Munster and south leinster are really the only places that play hurling. They were trying to promote hurling in dublin to a certain degree of success however every time there is a crucial match they play in down in muster or limerick which takes a lot of the neutral semi intersted dublin supporters away from the game.
Youll find it will be a good match, kilkenny will win again, rte will state thats why hurling is so great and the majority will have forgotten about it a week later. The Cats through their success and lack of real competition have destroyed it. The hurling promotion in dublin a few years ago is nearly gone, focus has left again.
I actually love hurling but because kilkeeny will more than likely win again i probably wont bother looking at it unless im actually in a room with a tv

Cheers,

So am I better off going right into the corner up towards the side of the hogan, as high as possible, no netting and a similar (or even better) view to those at the back of the lower hogan?

Hurling final is the same old faces for neutrals. It needs new teams, with all respect to Kilkenny, people would like a different colour jersey mounting the Hogan steps on Sunday evening.

Your best bet is to go early and you can pick what position best suits you, distance from the pitch etc.

I think even kilkenny people are getting fed up of winning, loads of them did not bother hanging around for theirs teams lap of honour in croke park last year which I thought was very disrepectable.

Dont think for a second that means they're fed up of winning.
They love winning, especially against Tipp!

I imagine they get a lot of satisfaction from winning.

If you can't be bothered hanging around for your teams victory lap it says something maybe not fed of winning but tired of constantly been in finals. Kilkenny people have told me that themselves

I'm sure plenty of people do, as is evident any time there is a sell out. I was only highlighting it as it's odd to see a club trying to get rid of tickets so close to a final.
