Boule not a contender due to his outragious behaviour against Fermanagh. He kneed a player on the head whilst the player was already down. The player of the year should be an outstanding player and role model.

Over the last couple of years, the player of the year has come from the all ireland winning team.
If dublin win you gave the likes of fenton, kilkenny, mcmanaman, rock. Connolly will be in the mix but realistically can't see him winning it for his disciplinary reasons.

If mayo win you have the likes of, keegan, boyle, aidan o'shea, cillian o'connor and maybe andy moran

You've probably listed all the contenders there.

Maybe an unbelievable final from Johnny Cooper or Keith Higgins might get them into the mix.

Think Diarmuid O'Connor will get YPOTY.

Is there even another contender for young player of the year other than the younger O'Connor? I think it has to be an u21 player and I can't think of too many U21 players who've played until the later stages? Brannigan from Galway had a very good championship probably better than young O'Connor who's probably only had one good game against Kildare but O'Connor has made the final and had a brilliant U21 campaign.

Well he somehow didn't get a ban for that so I doubt it'll hurt his chances now.

Completely forgot about the Tipp contingent, is Comerford the best placed from Tipp to challenge D O'Connor considering he's been talked up for an All Star?

Diarmuid O'Connor is a very good player but he didn't even play against Galway and has been fairly quiet in Mayo's recent games. he was OK against Fermanagh and was very good against Kildare. He's only had one really good performance so far. Not sure that's enough to be given any awards this time around unless he has a big game in the final.

Can't see past the Dubs in the final so have it between J.Cooper, K McMenamon and B.Fenton. They are the 3 who have stood out in each area of the pitch for me all year. Can't have Kilkenny because he's too lethargic and safe on the ball, Connolly has been immense in spells but inconsistent too.

Think his injury seems to have hindered him a bit ,since that he has no been his usual A1 standard or maybe he's grand just not up to form but I guess it would have a little to do with his drop in form

Evan Comerford for Tipperary anyone? Fantastic Keeper , has been all year for Tipp anyone who has watched him...

Cluxton had a mare in the last game and I don't believe you can give an All-star to a player who had a bad game in a semi-final.

A bad 10 minutes, not a bad game.

I'd say you're in a minority of one if you think that's accurate.

If a goalkeeper costs you two goals he had a bad game.

but hasn't had anything of note to do in the rest of the championship. All the Leinster opposition and donegal conceded possession to Dublin. The 3-4 times there was pressure on his kickout he folded.

Has to be one of the Dubs. Kevin MC for me or Brian Fenton. All down to final performance from either of them. Both of them were superb v Kerry which was their only real test all year. No offense Donegal but Dublin were in control all game. Along with Kilkenny or Diarmuid Connolly maybe. You could nearly pick a player from each line of the Dublin team for player of the year. Outsider is Lee Keegan from Mayo
