Ballyboden St Endas tweet he's continuing to manage them in their defense of the All Ireland. So what happen if Boden win Dublin, Leinster and then go all the way to St Patricks day again? Jim McGuinness, Malachy O'Rourke, Pete McGrath, James Horan, Sean Boylan these are all managers who proved how vital a good management team is to a squad who are "lacking" quality. I have been calling for the previous manager to step aside, since it became very evident he wasn't capable. Every Meath poster on here will testify I was not in favour of mod been appointed, however I naturally rowed in behind him when he was appointed, but he should never have been reappointed last year, . Andy McEntee is the best manager in Ireland not managing a county with the exception of McGuinness. What we achieve under Andy will be the best we can achieve, now it will take a year to get to that level, so I don't expect success ( last 4, division 1, ) prior to 18 . I watched you against Fermanagh this year and you were shocking. Maybe there is a crop of youngsters coming through but a lot of your key players are getting on. At the very least we should see a team going till the end and not giving up when the going gets tough.Gerry for a start won't allow that!!!! McEntee has the ability and mental steel to sort out a few of our problems but the elephant in the room for me still remains our uncompetitive club championship. I know I sound like a stuck record here but it really is a major problem. There's a lack of intensity and urgency to win in our club championships because of the format and it's very hard to make up for those 2 things. Still, I am delighted McEntee got the job, only time will tell whether it works out or not, but we went with the best candidate and done it quickly, that's a plus.
