Is there anything more stupid in Gaelic Football than the Black card Give a friggin yellow card and be done with it We got got inconsistency from Coldrick with cards The 1st black card use some common sense for Gods sake 8 minutes in and you dismiss a player Big win for Mayo but good Lord do they have to improve for the 3rd Sunday in September Still waiting for the 1 Great Mayo game Here's hoping it's the next 1 Maigh Eo Abu

Replying To benched:  "Black card is a farce but as the rules stand it was text book example of what a black card should be. Problem is if he was a big name player from one of the media/GAA darling teams it would of been a yellow"
Totally don't agree. Black card all day long. Sorry for the guy, and would have been regardless of jersey. Keegan's not remotely comparable.

About as unsatisfactory a victory as any supporter could experience. Will Mayo peak at all this year? Running out of games.

Mayo were fortunate it was Tipp they drew for the semi as they'd be out if they had faced Dublin or Kerry today. They look clueless tactically and switched off for long periods twice. Ref was very kind to them also and ignored all sorts of fouls on Tipp players. They're in the final and know they've a lot to do, possibly a better situation than cruising through and thinking they're great.

How good are some of these Tipp players! Sweeney and Quinlevan are pure class. The got undone by some bad mistakes and a fluke of a goal. Hope they keep this progress going into next year.

A good omen? Incapable of putting in a 70 min performance against a division 3 team would be worrying for me if I was a Mayo fan.

As I predicted. Good performance from Tipp, Mayo just too smart, too cynical to be losing to the likes of us.

Yes perfect result for Mayo. They will be complete underdogs and no one will give them a chance. Sounds like you're already feeding in to that ideal pre-final narrative for Mayo!

Very very proud of our lads didn't think we'd be that close to them we had chances and you could argue a few decisions but look that happens in most games.
Andy Moran probably won that game for Mayo.
Hope they go on and win it now.
Tipperary need to keep this progress going and try to get back to an all Ireland semi final again.
We stood up today man for man and a bit more confidence on the ball we'll take the battle to any team.

Mayo were poor again for long periods but it just shows how poor the championship is overall if they can stumble into a final. Not their fault. I'm 50/50 as to what will happen. In fairness we have looked awesome in other years on the way to a final and didn't win so who knows maybe they will click up front. They are there and that's all the matters. I'll be raising a glass from Germany tonight. On another note, Tommy Carr was an absolute joke throughout the game.

Lord God how is this Mayo team in an AIF ! Was it the plan to sit back and let Tipp go at them at the start of the 2nd half ? The side-line line looked clueless. The AIF will see the end of Mayo for a decade.

So what was Keegan yellow card for ??
Pulling a man back blocking him from getting the ball sounds like black card to me ... definitely not a yellow ... kop out

As a neutral, (with no great love for all things things Tipp!!), I thought the ref gave every 50/50 decision to Mayo. Tipp had two legitimate penalty calls. If the first black card was correct, then Higgins, Keegan and Boyle should also have got one. Maher's sending off?? Cillian O'Connor could have gone for a similar action, where ultimately Ciaran McDonald got a yellow! Consistent inconsistency....

I'll just never understand the use of Aiden O Shea by Mayo, they open the second half with the man in the box then they can't win a ball in midfield so he goes there!

To me it's as simple as O Shea has to go forward and be one of the main defenders in at least 90% of either parts of play for Mayo.

They're astute at stopping the blanket because that gives them all the time in the world to set up, is it a case of O Shea simply lacking the fitness to be more involved? The same can be said for Keith Higgins, where does the man go for the majority of the match...he popped up twice and twice created havoc.

Based on today's effort you really couldn't look past the Tyrone match being Mayo's final this year

Does the GAA have refs from any other county besides Meath and Laios If they're the best I'd hate to see the worst He was bad today he was bad yesterday and he'll be bad the next day

Mayo are this .mayo are that,
Fact is they are in the All-Ireland Final , .
Barring the big 2 , it shows the standard of the rest of the teams in Ireland the fact that Mayo only needed to play in spells to dispatch them all.
Some very bitter posting on here.

So the All Ireland Final is next Sunday then, Dublin v Kerry.
Should be a good match.

moan all you like about decisions made by ref but it won't change the result....i've seen meath gain from poor refeering decisions on many occasions....not saying it's ok at any time but I didn't really think the ref was poor today....the sending off was a punch and the black card was 100% correct.....refs can on only punish what they see or what there attention has been drawn to by the other members of his team..
