Tipperary v Mayo

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Mayo looked well off things early on. Have now put in their customary blitz... will the lads go to sleep again for the second half like previous games... hope not, Tipp could still be dangerous if Mayo go back down the gears.

As sad as it was for kiely the black card was a correct call I think.

Game over at half time and this could be a really heavy defeat for Tipp if they don't pick themselves up and cut out some of the unforced errors which have cost them dearly so far.

Not impressed with Mayo at all. Theyd be in trouble against a better team and have a lot of work to do for the final

Black card is a farce but as the rules stand it was text book example of what a black card should be. Problem is if he was a big name player from one of the media/GAA darling teams it would of been a yellow

I thought it was a definite black card for Robbie Kiely. Clear as day to me. And where is the logic in some people saying it shouldn't be a black card because it was so early in the game??

I agree. Marty Morrissey and Tommy Carr were going on about how it was so unfair because it is over 80 years since Tipp were in a semi-final and there was only 8 minutes gone. What the hell does that have to do with it?

Oh yeah, I'd say both Dublin and Kerry fans are bricking it alright.

Tipp giving a lot of possession away.
Not cute enough at this level.
It's been quite a poor match overall.

With very poor ref decisions. Keeghan should have been side lined with obvious fouling inside the square but no penalty- spec savers comes to mind

I agree it was a black card, just think its a shocking rule. I don't think there is a need for it, as it can be abused. It all came about due to Cavanagh against McManus years ago - but they've put other infractions on it too. And it is not stopping those kind of fouls, a black card for dragging a lad down when he's on goal with a few minutes left on the clock is worth taking. Needs to be changed to a sin bin

Mayo happy out - played v poorly and win comfortably in the end. Have they got q massive game left in them?? Maybe. Referee terrible today also.

Despicable referring. Cost Tipp very dear this afternoon. Mayo will be shown up in the final. They're one dirty crowd of divers.
