I disagree, Kerry as a County have clearly focused on their youth and developing the next generation of players. Deploying former All Ireland winning manager Jack O'Connor to oversee the Minors 3 years ago hardly looked like a County board neglecting your youth.

Kerry's problem has been failure to consistently transition players from U21 grade to Senior level in last year or two, they may have brought them players in to the larger senior panel, but few if any are currently considered key starting talent in the current Kerry starting lineup. If you look around the other contenders, they all have a higher ratio of recent U21 players in their starting lineups."
It's a lot easier for young players to look good in a strong side as opposed to a sinking ship and even with that how many U21 players are currently in the Dublin XI or their first 20 players. What age is Fenton?

Donegal are carrying too many older lads (even though a few new lads have come in last year or so) Mayo have DOC and Durcan ( so 2 same as ourselves) Tyrone have a lot of young lads but they had won nothing at IC level for 5/6 years until this year.

You can't just throw in a load of 19/20 year olds and expect them to compete for an All Ireland, it doesn't and wont ever happen. It's a long and challenging process as Tyrone showed, you need patience for a group of young men to develop together before expecting to be good enough to seriously compete. If you put in 7 or 8 of them against a Juggernaut like Dublin in a hostile situation like Croke Park and they get eaten alive you risk destroying them before they have even begun.

Finallythey are at college in Limerick, Cork, Dublin you can't expect them to go training 3/4 times a week to Killarney during the winter months. They can't just hop on a Luas and skip to training and be there in a half an hour. It's not feasible

In fairness any Dublin players getting the Luas to training would have a fair walk to and from training.

More pressure on Kerry as you's only have to win two decent matches to win the All- Ireland . We have a few championships played this year already .

Nonsense thread .

And what is the four regions ????

I've saw this mentioned before ??

Dublins the 4 regions.

Legenzxix is the only one that uses it. If I gather correctly he's alluding to the fact that Dublin isn't technically a single county in the modern administration of Ireland.

Who exactly have Donegal beaten this year? Cork were the best team ye beat and Tipp took them out in Munster and have since made it to last 4 playing Total Football on the way to doing so.

Every one of the quarter finalists have shown form at some point leading into the knockout stages except Mayo. This is a fact, we've limped into August, spluttering like a badly oiled machine. The Mayo support has recognised this plain as day and no one is expecting anything much from Saturday, expect that the team give of their best. Of the six left in we are number 6 based on what we've witnessed in 2016. The past has no bearing. Tyrone will look to impose themselves right from the first whistle, of that we can be certain. No form and no pressure on Mayo.

Donegal have 1 Ulster Championship from '13 to present.

Mayo have 3 Connaught Championships from '13 to present but still no All-Ireland.
