No bother, we are 99% in agreement so, if we don't win it this year I hope Tipp do, both are unlikely to happen but sure you have to dream.

That's how all Donegal Tyrone games have gone since 2011 yet no one said we should have beaten them any of those years.

Never seen as many back handed excuses for a loss from all angles as i've seen with this one.

You're agreeing with the Donegal man below that this Tyrone team won't win an All Ireland, I'd like to know what you think was so good about the 2012 Donegal team that made them contenders that Tyrone don't have?

I mean we don't have Michael Murphy but then again if that's the measuring stick alot of teams aren't AI contenders. We have one relatively dodgy line on our team and that's the full forward line, check out the full forward line from 2008. I love the men for what they did for the county but hardly anything to write home about apart from Cavanagh, who's still there doing his thing

Is Rochford bold enough to start a Conor O Se or Conor Loftus?.....I would love to see Loftus released onto the Croke Park turf and see what he does.
Agree on Mayo player's carrying ball into tackle...we get bottled up and turned over or are forced to go back or across the field. Mayo are at our best when moving the ball at speed but we don't do it often enough.
Seamus O Se doe's not warrant a start based on form in my opinion. It was clear to see in the second half v Westmeath we were at our worst when AOS and Cillian were deep. We need those boy's closer to goal where thy can do some damage. The warm weather promised....well let's just wait and see....the weather men can't predict 3 hours never mind 3 days in this country.

As most people acknowledge both teams are evenly matched but I fear that the deciding factor in this game will be the referee. Tyrone tend to get the shi##y end of the stick when it comes to refereeing decisions and for this reason Mayo are the most likely winners. To counterbalance biased refereeing decisions Tyrone will need to be at least 6-7 points better than Mayo to scrape a close victory.

Really difficult one to call. Tyrone can play very attractive football when allowed but struggled against Donegal over the past few years and again this year when faced with a defensive system. Mayo play a very similar system to Donegal and even Monaghan and although Tyrone should be used to it they will find it hard to break down. Diarmaid O Connor and Tom Parsons are key to a Mayo win IMO. If Tom Parsons plays then they have options of short or long kick outs and it lets Aidan O' Shea play more at 14. Even with this though they only have the 7 day turn around and this could also be working against them.
Tyrone looked very nervous in the Ulster Final and this was due to the occasion and the fact they were playing a team they hadn't beat in a while. I don't expect them to have those nerves on Saturday and as a result I'll expect them to be better than they were in the Ulster Final. Tyrone won the Ulster Final with some of the finest points you'll see to win any game from Cavanagh and Harte but you won't get those every day and if Mayo can frustrate them enough they have a chance of beating them. If its a Tyrone win then it will probably only come to pass in the last 15 minutes when their exceptional fitness will start to tell.
It's a hard one to call but I can't help thinking the 7 day turn around and the weather forecast will play in favour of Tyrone. Tyrone by 2.

Fancied Mayo for Sam at the start but unless they are holding a mountain of unseen form in the locker on form Tyrone should win with a bit to spare. Should be a cracker.

Tyrone look first class this year. Brilliant attitude with Awesome players in every line. Three sure fire All Stars already in Donnelly,McCarron and Donnelly. Every bit as good as Dublin.Game Needs a strong Ref. Tyrone were absolutely hammered by the ref against Kerry last year.

Not exactly sure what you mean by a 'strong' ref. An unbiased ref is all I'd ask for. I don't mind referees being over zealous in the implementation of the rules as long as they are impartial. And speaking of being hammered by referees have you forgotten the replay in Limerick in 2014.

Fair point. Ye were done over in Limerick in a big way coincidently against Kerry! Im not Mayo's biggest fan but if ye manage to get to the All Ireland Final this year and win it will be an incredible achievement with two outstanding teams in your way(Tipp are a a fine side also and will take serious beating) Mayo will win it when they deserve to win it. From talking to alot of Mayo men they seem to feel they are at the end of a cycle but sometimes the promised land is found when least expected.

Agree 2sets - the fear is that with 2 so evenly matched teams the difference will be a refereeing decision - if that happens we really need to reconsider video analysis - these guys put far too much into the games to have their dreams taken away by a misinformed decision.

Tyrone struggled against Cavan (shiped 5 goals over 2 games) and just about got over Donegal with out of this world points which won't come off every day. Are they being overblown? Maybe. Are MAyo been written of too much? Possibly. I think the teams are very close. Typically games between the two have been very close going into the final 10 mins and I except the same on Saturday. Whoever makes best use of their bench could be the winner.

Who is the ref for your game?

I feel that Donegal team had leaders all over the place and a system (which I wasn't a huge fan of) that worked well. I'll hold my hands up if I'm wrong but I don't feel Tyrone have the same talent or natural leaders all over the park that Donegal had.
I'm not making excuses for Donegal in the Ulster final at all...my point is that I don't think they are the team they were and even played reasonably poorly, yet Tyrone only beat them because of an unreal Sean Cavanagh second half. From what I have seen I'm not convinced.
The same could be argued of Mayo however so we will see after Sunday. Tyrone have certainly improved and should they win Sunday, they will be as good as in the final.

It's just my opinion but we will see. I do expect Mayo to win though

It's strange to see that most Mayo posters aren't backing themselves to win, maybe they know more than us being close to the coal face so to speak, but I can't see Mayo being as poor as they have been all year, Croke park, the buzz of the big crowd etc. will surely give them a lift and they'll feel they are back where they belong,
looking forward to this game, nervous about our own, could be Ulster goes home empty handed.

The trend is increasing sadly for reasons only we can guess as to why many Donegal fans want Tyrone beaten . I for one stood in the jimmy camp when Donegal were getting slated left right and centre , after this latest trend . Will I be in that camp again . I doubt it . Find it quite sad to be honest

What tipp footballers have achieved is nothing short of brilliance . They will be hard to shift outstanding full forward line

Well i can't argue with any of that I have to say!

Well actually one thing I would say is that Donegal's defending, when they defend like they did in the Ulster final not how they defended against Cork they're as good as anyone still, it's just not as impressive because they're less sure of themselves when they have the ball these days. Just my opinion but as you said yourself time will tell.

Frankly I'm shitting myself, we laid eggs at this stage in the past and you're correct to show the disparity in leadership between Donegal and Tyrone when you compare the leaders on the current team to the team of 03-08 there's a marked difference but I have to say a lot of things change for a player when they get that All Ireland medal in their hand, the media think of them differently, they seem to even think of themselves differently.

Brian Dooher to me has to be the greatest example of that i've ever seen. He went from being a good player on a great team to the talisman and captain on an even better team. Critics had their field day with him in 2002-03, Colm O Rourke must feel good going to look at his All Ireland medals and realising he has one less than the man he said would stop a team winning any
