Oh touchy, aren't we, little truth hurts . Btw judging on your county performance today, we have as much chance as been relevant as yourselves. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 06/08/2016 18:46:57 1896735 Link 2 |
Nothing git to do with been out of sorts or not at the races. Just not good enough. Less of the excuses, the better team won, and the scoreline flattered Tyrone, the gulf in class was evident, from the 3rd ranked county in Connaught.

Tyrone were at their worst today and still were only a kick away from getting something from the game. This Mayo team haven't impressed me and got away with one today. I'm sure Tipp will be much happier having to play Mayo than Tyrone. i cant see the AI final being one worth tuning in for again unfortunately.

Hey dont get me wrong, id truly love to see Tipp get to final, and they have a chance as they play attacking football, which should rattle mayo, no disrespect to mayo but who wouldn't love to see Tipp winning, ? Unless you from mayo.

Ah well, nothing us realistic Tyrone supporters didn't expect. Still persisting with Morgan free kick experiment, fourth year now over and yet to score one that mattered. No reliable scorer, failing tk take goal chances. For these reasons they were over rated. Dermoot (Tyrone) - Posts: 46 - 06/08/2016 18:54:39 1896744 Link 0 |
For a provincial championship winner, Tyrone were not overly impressive other than some inputs from Donnelly and Harte. Mayo lived dangerously leaving their defense vulnerable and Tyrone were pathetic in not benefiting as a results. The ways speak for themselves. Mayo need to be carefully in the smi final not to commit so many fouls when they know that the referee is going to punish them. As for Tyrone's future, it will be well into the future as their younger players will need to learn the hard lessons of the game and acquire the experience to bring them up to the standard of the big teams in the championship. Would a new manager help with fresh ideas? WestRules (Galway) - Posts: 269 - 06/08/2016 18:54:41 1896745 Link 0 |
First of all its not my county so get your facts right. Second your teams nowhere near the elite in Ireland and I count Tyrone as one of the elite 4-5 teams. Finally I'm not being touchy - I've observed your posts and it's embarrassing for someone with such unsporting and un-Gael like attitudes towards another team - do us all a favour and go away - you've obviously got an issue with Tyrone and the rest of us don't care to hear about it.

Good man.Bury your head in the sand that's the bets way to deal with the issue. It can clearly be seen on the TV by the whole country so you don't need to be down on the sideline. uibhfhaili1986 (Offaly) - Posts: 1296 - 06/08/2016 18:57:22 1896749 Link 1 |
Well done Mayo! Seansy48 (Tyrone) - Posts: 237 - 06/08/2016 19:00:33 1896754 Link 0 |
I agree with Royal Dunne. It would be the same if Tyrone won.

Not sure what game you were watching. We had 3 chances in the closing minutes to win it never mind force a replay and that was without Sean Cav and playing with 14.our shooting let us down. Morgan 0 from 3 this time. Not good enough tbh.

So sitting on your rear end watching TV you can lip read Tyrone players and not Mayo players? It quite obvious both were at it - so wise up. Or maybe Mayo players didn't say anything bar the Hail Mary the Angels you obviously think they are. Pure ignorant stuff so say the least.

I'm not sure the manager was to blame there. The team had their chances. Didn't take them. It's been a problem for them all year. I'm not sure what a manager can do about that. Whammo86 (Antrim) - Posts: 4241 - 06/08/2016 19:13:30 1896772 Link 1 |
Don't agree. Tyrone are better than Tipp. I don't see you having too many problems. Whammo86 (Antrim) - Posts: 4241 - 06/08/2016 19:18:26 1896777 Link 0 |
I know what you saying, but mayo too kicked some horrible wides, mayo for all their faults never really looked like loosing on the TV, however I accept been at the match that might not have been the same feeling. Anyways hard luck, despite what some may say, its not anti anything, I just don't get the overhyped thing the media go on about the ulster championship, now it is competitive no doubt, but so would Leinster be without dubs.

You'll hear no argument from me on that point. I've already said I'd love him on our team for his obvious attributes. I just say call a spade a spade.

Don't agree that they don't have the forwards. 2 O'Connors, Moran, O'Shea. Those guys are all top players. Mayo should make the final now. At that point all they need is one big day. For me today has shown me that they won't be blown away whoever they come up against. That leaves themselves in with a huge chance.
