this is interesting and I understand there are definitely some posters that take offence to everything anyway negative. dstuction (Donegal) - Posts: 1209 - 27/07/2016 15:10:18 1891002 Link 1 |
The money thing and Dublin is absolute bs , I've no problem saying we've advantage's with population and playing in Croker but the money thing is a new thing thrown at us the last few years and it's bs. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 27/07/2016 15:21:39 1891008 Link 1 |
that's my point. . God forbid you tell a Dub that correct refereeing would have seen them lose that 2011 final cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5017 - 27/07/2016 15:25:39 1891012 Link 0 |
Sensitive posters or counties? Seems it is branching away from the thread at hand. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 27/07/2016 15:41:41 1891023 Link 0 |
oooooohh sensative ;)

Lose it or draw? I'd be guessing if you said that to a Dub they'd just shrug it off and say you're a begrudger for believing the referee won them the All-Ireland, no sensitivity about it As far as dubious refereeing decisions go that's hardly the worst Now if you said Martin Sludden to a Louth man........ keithlemon (Australia) - Posts: 920 - 27/07/2016 16:42:32 1891061 Link 0 |
Totally off topic here but is Niall Sludden the Tyrone player related to Martin Sludden ?, hearing the name has some Meath people wondering whether to adopt Tyrone as their second team this year!

Cant say. Depends on the person. I say no 2 posters are the same despite being from the same county. I'd be as much inclined to agree with someone from cork over the next town down depending on what they said DoireCityFC (Derry) - Posts: 1580 - 27/07/2016 18:44:27 1891131 Link 0 |
Think Sludden is a common enough name in those parts. I can bet every viewer is wondering the same thing.

Ormo, and pretty much all Tyrone posters. joncarter (Galway) - Posts: 2692 - 27/07/2016 19:01:00 1891143 Link 3 |

Aye Dublin; like bad eczema; so sensitive and in denial that you would need to bathe them in emollients, slap steroid cream all over them and cover them in bandages. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9706 - 27/07/2016 23:09:42 1891287 Link 0 |
pretty sensitive yourself and very biased...notice you in a row with all the liberals on another thread

I think all GAA fans are sensitive to criticism of their own County, well some more sensitive than others. GaryMc82 (Derry) - Posts: 3017 - 27/07/2016 23:29:11 1891298 Link 0 |
In fairness Wayno before Dublin started collecting All Itelands you used to get quiet emotional and sensitive. Now you can be flippent about the whole thing

Some. Most will still rant and rave back. For example, Ulsterman gets a rise out of Dublin fans on here, the vast majority. People on here should realise what he is about by now and laugh it off. I still cant believe to this day he gets so many dubs taking the bait. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 28/07/2016 10:30:15 1891379 Link 1 |
As far as I am aware he's a nephew. Niall Sludden is a Dromore man as was Martin sludden. If Ruairi is his brother then im 99% certain that the two of them are related.

I have to say if they are related I hope Niall doesn't get tarred with the same brush that that ref was - I heard that he took a lot of abuse in his home county and rightly so. All refs make mistakes but the arrogance of him that day was an absolute disgrace - Niall doing good job of redeeming the family name no doubt.
