Just in from work so will have to catch up on todays games later on.Great win for Dublin, though, and Galway and Tipp serve up another cracker.I will comment on last nights El Classico though ; what a tremendous game down by the Lee.A great evenings entertainment.Huge credit must go to Cork.Like many others i feared a bit of a trimming from cats. After seeing Cork perform well below par in their first three games i couldn't see where the improvement would come to beat Kilkenny.Hands up,i was wrong. That was the reaction all Cork hurling people were waiting for. From the throw-in Cork pulled hard and let everyone know they meant business.
Cork were ravenous and their pride was hurt.No way the players were going to lie down at home after last weeks hammering in the capital.I expected a big improvement but was surprised with the efficiancy and intensity of Corks play. The backs, led by C Joyce at centre-back,gave Kilkenny plenty to worry about.Every Kilkenny score was hard earned. The new midfield pairing of J Cronin and P Haughney got the better of their counterparts.Up front C Lehane, once again, scored five beautiful points from play.P Horgan and B Cooper showed glimpses of artistry but the main go-to man was full forwardS Harnedy. My man of the match ; he tormented J Holden from the start, scoring 1-3 and setting up numerous oppurtunities.A real warrior with a never say-die-attitude.
Cork will wonder how they lost.I certainly did,but those pesky cats did what they do best, come back from the death and win a tight game.Kilkennys two goals were brilliant;especially TJ Reid and John Power's one-two for the second.Cork hit a poor wide and Power took advantage of a poor clearance to steal the deal.Kilkenny are going nowhere but the rebels are back! What a game..

The last 3 runners up in the all Ireland Cork 2014 Tipp 2014 and Galway 2015 fighting for their top flight status. Gonna b a great last day. Had a feeling Tipp would b in the relegation mix and pretty easy to see why. Can't finish a tight game, too many scoring chances missed. Think Galway will beat Waterford so Tipp have to beat Cork. Does it come down to scoring difference?

Yes cuedrocket, We are feeling a bit better after last night but ultimately it was a disappointing night as we were beaten. Hopefully we can maintain the improvement but Tipp away with Tipp needing the win is a daunting prospect.
Depending on results it could be the start of 3 successive Competitive games for both Counties. I don't think it will though I expect Tipp to win and Cork to meet Galway in the relegation play off.

A lot of super hurling in the TV matches over the past few weeks. Great finishes with today's match between Tipp and Galway was a cracker with Joe's sideline ball just glorious. Last night was also great hurling with Cork very unlucky not to pull through. Last weeks mammoth point for Waterford with the last puck- great finishes. A few more to go yet in a very interesting league.

Great weekend for the boys in blue! Great win in Waterford for the lads.
Cork finally wake up and play as Cork should, they were unlucky no very unlucky not to win that game.
Galway and Tipp serve up another great game lit up by the mercurial genius that is Joe Canning.
Bodes well for the summer.

Apart from mayb 1B, the other divisions will all go down to the wire next weekend. Westmeath & Roscommon are the only unbeaten teams in the land.

Didn't expect Wicklow to beat Mayo, that one surprised me. If I'm right (I could be wrong, the NHL can be confusing), the only straight relegation that can happen in the last round, is in the game between Derry and Kildare, that'll be interesting.
If Antrim beat London, and Westmeath beat Carlow, both Antrim and Carlow will be on 6 points. Will the head-to-head result be used to decide who finishes 2nd in that case? Is it actually possible for Antrim to get into the division final?

Yeah Marlon I think that is the case re Carlow and us. I believe we're out of contention completely now.
I have to say there seems to have been a bit of complacency, don't know why though, judging by some of the interviews ive been reading from players and management after both games!
Obviously the players missing are well documented but it is a fairly young and inexperienced squad in the main. The last really good team we had in the late 80's early 90's were more than capable of holding their own physically as well as possessing ability. My feeling is that for quite a few years now we're too light with too many nice hurlers and particularly at this time of year we struggle, we need to unearth a few fellas with a bit more physique if we hope to get out of Division 2 next year.
