Impressive attendance of 21,512 at the Munster football final yesterday. Despite Tipps win over Cork I don't thing there was any great expectation there given all the players they have lost from the panel. 29,377 wasn't bad for the Leinster final given how dominant Kilkenny have been. dahayeser (Cork) - Posts: 338 - 04/07/2016 10:23:31 1875878 Link 0 |
Just shows you weren't at the game Saturday night dahayeser, pretty much full up at pairc ui rinn, just short of the 12,000 attendance and probably 11,800 of them were Cork supporters.

Next time Cork play Dublin at home it will be in or 45,000, €78 million, centre of mediocrity, Pairc O'Murchu ...10,058 will look fairly sparse then.. bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3917 - 04/07/2016 15:57:12 1876170 Link 0 |
Touchy touchy rebelfi, sure what would it matter if I was there or not. It doesn't really undermine my point one way or another. dahayeser (Cork) - Posts: 338 - 04/07/2016 16:28:39 1876212 Link 0 |
I recall waterford v leitrim in league match 2/3 years ago in dungarvan drew in a whopping 29 people and 17 didnt pay.

Seemed to be a decent crowd at Laois v Armagh maybe 4,000 ? BigJohn.6_8 (Galway) - Posts: 704 - 05/07/2016 09:45:36 1876598 Link 0 |
Anyone know the expected attendance for Sunday? Hardly get 40k.... tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 05/07/2016 10:39:58 1876654 Link 0 |
I'd say they'll be lucky to get 20 tiobraid. Cork could only get 10k at home last week Wexford could only get 3k. If they can get half of those crowds to travel they'll be doing well. Both counties know they are well off the pace. Limerick don't have much faith in TJ Ryan or the team at the moment, they'd usually bring a big crowd but won't this time. There is massive frustration in Clare that Davy that this golden generation is being wasted by Davy and they don't seem to be bring big crowds despite all the talented hurlers they have. dahayeser (Cork) - Posts: 338 - 05/07/2016 11:19:14 1876687 Link 0 |

I hope so however i fear 2/3/4000 waterford people will decide against travelling to limerick as opposed to thurles. Was think 33/34 myself but sure not long to wait and see now...think your right btw regarding sat attendences!

Attendances have been crap this year and it's all down to the dominance of certain teams. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 10/07/2016 17:25:40 1880162 Link 0 |
Sad to see the Munster final played out before a mere 26,508. The most disappointing thing is, going in to the game at least these were viewed as 2 good teams with genuine All Ireland ambitions. Tipp and Waterford had huge support in years gone by. Cork or Linerick would have flooded the place it they had such potential to support. dahayeser (Cork) - Posts: 338 - 11/07/2016 09:50:59 1880661 Link 0 |
