Aah you meant "they're", not that I would normally correct something like that but just as you were being so picky on the correct use of the English language just a page previously.... Let he without sin and all of that. I better be careful with my grammar for a while now;

Does the Cuala match being on appease those complaining that the Dublin teams are never shown live? Or is it the lack of coverage of their football teams that is the gripe?
I was actually expecting Cross & Kilcoo myself but may have to take myself along to Enniskillen now instead.

Where did you read that? If true that's called media speak because why on earth would they have a 'brilliant' rivalry? What is so brilliant about it compared to any other rivalry?

Gaelic Life.

I would hazard a guess Tom the fact that they've met three times in almost as many years that some people would consider that a bit of a rivalry, bearing in mind they're from two different counties. A win each and a draw between them. It's not often that teams get drawn against each that much in such a short period of time at club provincial level.

I know some Cross folk like to think they've no rivals, the only thing you're unrivalled in is arrogance ;)

Big scalp for Cuala. To beat the Kilkenny county champions is no mean feat. They had to weather the storm in the second half, but kept their composure and finished well.I wasn't overly impressed with Clara.Certainly nowhere near as classy a team as Ballyhale Shamrocks.Hard to call next weeks final. If i had to,i'd give the nod to Oulart.

Big win for Cuala, 2 big scalps and a chance for them to repeat a bit of history.

Big win for Scotstown too, back in the final for the first time in a long time, should be a good game against Crossmaglen.

Well done Cuala that's a massive win. They shouldn't have any fear Oulart at all. Oulart will be revved up though after all those Leinster final defeats.

NaPiarsaigh will take some beating from here.

dear dear aren't you the touchy type. I don't know of any Cross people who think they have no rivals. As I said before any team you play is a rival, that's the nature of sport. I was just saying that there is no 'special' rivalry between Cross and Kilcoo and why should there be!! Kilcoo haven't achieved anything at provincial level so what would be the rivalry!

Cracking game in Parnell Park.
Cuala probably just about deserved it but Clara will be disappointed, two awful goals and then butchered what was likely a winning goal of their own.
Think Cuala will be just physically too strong for Oulart.

Ballygunner or either Leinster finalists should have no fear of Na Piarsigh.
Not world beaters and Limerick teams have an appalling record once out of Munster.
Winner should come from these four but little or nothing between them.

Bit unfair assessment of Clara, good team.
Not as good as Ballyhale of last few years but we are probably talking bthe best club team ever so no shame in that.

I was at the Scottstown game. Great game of football considering the conditions. Trillick may feel like they kicked it away but I felt Scottstown were the slightly better side. Richie Donnelly however had an exceptional game in the middle of the park.

Can I ask any Scotstown and Monaghan folk to a lesser extent, do you ever get annoyed with the antics of Kieran Hughes? Off the ball hitting, diving about the place, constant mouthing. Why can't he stick to what he's good at?

You're in a minority there, NaP will be strong favourites v Ballygunner.

Cross were very good yesterday wen they got started, was a slow start kilcoo come out flying and caused a few problems, but wen Cross got going they were serious, Tackling was top drawer kicking game was very good, a few out over the line but still continued to kick which i love about their game, the intensity is unreal they hassle hard and keep moving the ball fast!!! Scotstown are a new challenge but Cross are going to be hard to stop!! Aaron k was unreal how that man isnt still playing County football is crazy for Armagh... Can see them pushing on in the Championship!! Either way they are the Greatest Club team ever

Well they are certainly are the greatest club from both Armagh and Ulster, as they have the greatest number of Armagh and Ulster titles of any club side. How else could you measure such a thing? It's an inconvenient fact thought that they do not have the greatest number of All-Ireland club titles.

In the last 25 years no side is a patch on them. Look at all the sides that have come and gone in that period
Nemo
St Brigids
St Vincents
Dr Crokes

Yet year after year Cross are there or there abouts.

Nemo have won an All-Ireland's in 4 different decades. How exactly did they come and go? They have been strong for over 40 years. As teams all play different county championships, in 4 different provinces, there is only one objective way to measure against each other. Nemo have won the All-Ireland 7 times. Any other metric used to assess "the greatest" is purely subjective.

Nemo won AIs in 4 decades, we won them over 3. It took Nemo 30 years to win 7, we haven't reached the 20 year mark yet and we have 1 more to catch them, so I hope to think we can. In terms of longevity we have been winning county titles since 1906 and have over double what Nemo have. We have a better recent hostory than they have so at the minute we have a perceived better record but history is a movable feast and very subjective. They are a great cub as are we, as are the rest of the clubs left in the championship. Hopefully we can catch them in this campaign but there's many a slip twixt cup and lip and I've no doubt our lads are not looking beyond the next game against Scotstown. That will be a cracker!

Disappointed to say I missed the Cross game yesterday and it wasn't on TG4 either. I won't miss the Ulster final anyway.
I see theres a few new kids on the block. Oisin O'Neill nephew of the legendary Oisin McConville now on the team. And a new full back Rushe who looked the read deal in the county final. Was David McKenna injured yesterday? Where is Paul Kernan?

Grey_wolf, Paul is in Australia and McKenna is injured, there's a lot of new faces in the Cross squad this year and a few good players looking to break into the squad next year so the future looks good. I'd like to see hearty having a successful reign as captain.
